It can be any kind of music. I find I use music that gets me feeling REALLY good. It doesn't matter what it is unless it hits me on a deep level but can ignore the lyrics. Sometimes I meditate with a fan on

One thing I found... If I meditate in silence I freak out. I got this tinitus in my ears and it drives me insane! So I have to have some form of noise... I could use beats too but music hits me on a deeper level.

Do you meditate with music?

I do from time to time.  It makes effective white noise to drown out troubling noises around you.

As long as your music makes you feel good... then there's never any issue listening to it while meditating or projecting.

This is something I'll do often.  I like to compose ambient/meditation music as a hobby, and it's the most important thing to me.  I really like to make music for relaxing into meditation.

I've just begun to meditate, so far I love it. But I like to listen to music because it helps drown out background noise. Can you all recommend some good artists etc? So far I enjoy listening to a cd called songs of awaking, a lamas chant it's really relaxing but want to try something new. Thanks

Anything by Paul Collier. Check out his name on Youtube. This one cued is very good. It's in his playlist where he has over 100 songs now.

This is very good as well. It's on an hour loop and is dubbed "the most relaxing tune ever made". That's quite a title. I have found that it is VERY relaxing though. It was actually the only MP3 that has put me to sleep in my chair during a AP attempt, lol.  :-D

Two of my favorites that are back to back here are #41 Facing the Unknown and #42 Taken up into the sky.

I just wish they were 20 or 30 minutes long, instead of 10 minutes long.

I do listen to music when I meditate, attempt to do an OBE etc. But I listen to 3d holophonics and (ASMR) Autonomous sensory meridian response, or have my fan running when I do it.

I actually have a separate playlist on my MP3 of these kinds of sounds.

QuoteThis is a 3D Holophonic video of Rain.

I have Tinnitus which had a massive impact on my listening habits - Loud guitar, drums and screeching vocals out and anything ambient with harps and Enya in... Yeah, I know. My T likes white noise, bird song and babbling brooks and so far meditations are working pretty well with LifeFlow - the Binaural Beats technology.  I'm not sure how conducive to AP the Alpha levels are but it sure sound lovely and plays well with the T.
