Hi I just want to collect a few opinions and thoughts, on what many think and perceive as non-physical entitys. For the sake of discussion I will Limit this to OBE/AP And nothing more as they are other means to communicate with non-physical Entitys.

But I have a few questions for both Believers and Disbelievers. I've observed that most on this forum believe that these "Entitys" are a part of 'you' and don't exist anywhere outside your awareness of them. This is mostly for the Negative Entitys.

Disbelievers. I must ask if in your perception ALL "entitys" are completely internal then how does it fit with your worldview that everything is Consciousness and there definately is an Astral Realm that exists separate from the Physical Brain?

Disbelievers, if your believe that all entitys are subjective creations. Do you make exceptions for a few?

If there are exceptions then what is your deciding factor between a thought construct and an actual being. What Is the Obvious difference? And can the same possibly  be said for An Entity that does NOT have your best interest in mind?

If demons dont exist, then wouldn't there be some entitys that can still be 'perceived' as 'demonic' in nature? From Personal experience I see "Demons" and "Demonic" very separate.

Believers same thing, How much do you feel is external from you in comparison to the thought form constructs that are commonly encountered.

And I hope not to step on anyone's toes here , I'm just wondering for discussion purposes. ^_^

NoY

I have met thousands of entity's and i don't concider any of them to have been manufactured by my expectations or fears

i guess it depends on how well traveled you are
and what your core beliefs are

I am just beginning to decipher for myself what is a separate entity and what is from myself, so I am not a whole lot of help here.  I know I've met many who are separate.  For me, I can feel a certain energy sensation when they are not of me.  Sometimes, I just plan can't tell lol

Good question, I notice some people have contradicting views as their opinions on a collective unconscious and entities with free will don't compliment each other well.

I think what a lot of people get confused on is the term "subconscious", a psychological term based on the assumption that consciousness is manufactured in the brain. I'm thinking a significant portion of people here believe that isn't the case, yet the word is thrown around often. It's a square block in a round hole scenario... we're using a psychological term to try and explain a spiritual experience despite the underlying assumptions contradicting one another... so now we have theories like "You didn't create it... your subconscious created it." Umm, no, you are "in" your (or rather everyone's) subconscious already. You are controlling it... so if you didn't imagine it before observing it, you didn't create it. Same with meeting entities... if you didn't think it, you didn't create it. That's my theory anyway.

Thanks for the replys so far everyone.  :-)

I agree. I think this way too. I'm very clairvoyant and I have things come to me on there own. I dont really have an active "Imagination" to begin with as I do have ADHD, so I've grown  familiar with my typical thought processes compared to receiving information.

But when I wake up in the morning to Hypnopompic "hallucinations" I will often see Shadows And Floating eyes and streaks of energy. While I dont assume these are things I "Created" I dont go out of my way to interact with them either. They just seem "there" for whatever purpose they are "there" for lolz.

Hahahaha....
Funny to come across this thread as I just STOOD MY GROUND as a firm believer that the entities I encounter during OBE/trance state are in fact entities (spirits/guides/whatever??). I agree with Astral WHOLE HEARTEDLY. How could it be my imagination if I'm IN THE MOMENT and not having any sort of expectations beforehand? I don't seek my OBE's afterall... they just happen when they want to. It seems like they mostly happen, IN FACT, when an entity is around and perhaps needs help (of which I have NO IDEA how to offer  :| ) or just wants to communicate for some reason...

Read my post called "Little Girl Wants to Play" where I go into detail about two shared experiences my husband and I had as further proof I do NOT have an overactive imagination nor do I belong in a psych ward or nut house. Hahaha.

Thanks for this thread.

I have never encountered an entity that I believe to have been separate from me.

When I say that these entities are a part of the person's mind, there are two reasons.

1) Whether or not it is true, it puts people's minds at ease enough to help them get over the fear and project.
2) I think that in a lot of these experiences, people haven't made it past their own subconscious (rather than to the greater astral reality).

All of that aside, from my experiences in the non-physical and physical, I am more likely to believe that reality is an immensely populated place and entities exist in all different forms and temperaments.
be awesome.

The human mind is very susceptible to delusion. Just look up some of these on wikipedia to see what I mean:

Confirmation Bias
Pareidolia
Selective Exposure
Cognitive Inertia
Anchoring
Congruence Bias
Ambiguity Effect
Clustering Illusion

If you think about the purpose behind a reality check when Lucid Dreaming, it seems clear that our ability to accurately perceive and make judgements about our environment is very limited.
