and tired when i awake up in the middle of lucid dream and i have to physically get up to wake up. is that narcolepsy. it happens when i get up and go back to bed then have a lucid dream. from about 9am/12:50pm
Narcolepsy is when you fall asleep at random times throughout the day... while you are just going about your daily business.
What you're experiencing is called 'Sleep Inertia'.
It's caused by the build up of adenosine during Non-REM sleep. This binds to your receptors and basically makes you feel sluggish.... and really really lethargic and heavy eyed.
It's actually the 'indicator' state for letting you know that you are ready to dream... Lucid Dream.. or have Sleep Paralysis if you perform a mind awake body asleep exercise.
That is very interesting concept 'Sleep Inertia' that works like an indicator. Thanks Bedeekin for sharing it and astralee for starting this thread.
Saying that... it is normally best that one waits until the grogginess passes slightly. This is why it's advised that one naps or wakes up from dreamless sleep and then waits before attempting.
