i was wondering, if there is something like a jar or something in your room and you dont know whats inside can u see in the astral whats inside?

maybe a stupid question but i always wanted to know

If you have an OBE in your room, you could. But sometimes you will have distortions (basically left-over mental energy of things that were on the physical plane in the past, or objects created by thought-energy), and you might see contents that aren't actually there, or you may not see the jar at all.
