Not sure if this is the right place but i have heard hemi-sync can be effective for meditation and AP.
Can anyone suggest a really good one to get?

Bacterio

You can get the best of hemi-sync if you attend a residential or a at least a workshop. Only listening Cd's is a help, but the real good thing of hemi-sync is you learn to recognize different states os awareness...and feel them, so reaching them is easier once yo know how they feel.

From Relax-Uk - cost £45.

I used it for a while, but I found it  of little use. Try it, each one experience is unique

I use the Gateway Wave 1 - Track 2: Intro to Focus 10 (Monroe Model)
It's a great primer for your mind that teaches you how to get into Focus 10.

I also use www.bwgen.com to make my own binaural beats.

I've made a couple presets that start the user off at 15hz (normal waking state) and slowly, over the course of 15 - 25 minutes, takes you down to 4hz (deep relaxing sleep state).

I'll try to find a place to upload them so you guys can download them.  They're MP3's, but they're both over 600mb.  One is one hour long, the other is two hours long.

Would be interested in your uploads

What about putting them on Rapidshare?

Bacterio

Bad guys...we should support those who are seeking the development of consciousness. anyway, if you download it be sure is in a lossless format as long as compressed formats ruin it

xxSaffronxx

yeah about the .flac files - what the best software to get to use these files for playing?

I definitely agree with that.  If you do plan on using all of the tracks, feel free to purchase them from the Monroe Institute directly to assist in the funding of related technologies.  ... however overpriced they are.  ;)

This is actually a myth.
MP3 compression only remove the highest and lowest frequencies, stuff you can't hear mostly anyways.
The frequencies for use in binaural beats / hemi-sync are not affected by these compressions.

Yes very good point - i did buy the OBE one at £45 so im not too bad?????

**goes off the buy them from the Monroe Institute to be good**

Bacterio

Ok...buying half maybe reasonable... :-D

It is not a myth that you loose something with mp3, it is tested by them that there is a loss if the bit rate is under 256...they know almost all of us copy something and they don't want you to spoil your experience with a bad copy.

Nono, that's not the myth.

The myth is that you lose something with the hemi-sync by using the MP3 compression.

I'm telling you, that the tracks work perfectly fine using MP3 compression.
The "Hemi-sync" feature is fully intact.

the first track talks about making sure the earphones are in the right ears - so if we cant convert them to mp3 and can only listen on the cd players then thats gonna be tricky! LOL

There are many other formats for playing on MP3 players and the like.

.Wav and .Flak are just two lossless formats.

But yes, you need to make sure that you're listening to these with the correct ears.

it's not "meant" to happen as though the track's intention was to make you do so, no, but, it can happen yes

Inico

I used Hemi-Sync last night and I eventually realised I was swaying, as if I was in a boat. Then I realised I could control it! And sway in whatever direction I wanted.

Still no freedom from awareness of my head, though. I've gotta learn how to really induce a trance.
