Hi Hannah,

For my part, I had spent time doing NEW as a prelude to Gateway. As I only worked with the first cd, I'd have to say that is the limit of my experience with their cds. Part of the mental rundown was from Monroe, and later, without the cd, I'd work with a different one. However, to answer your question, I experienced different sensations at the time of the rundown, and then let it go, never forcing anything.

There is a nice long thread entitled Gateway Wave 1 pointers wherein members discuss Gateway. That is in the Welcome to Permanent Astral Topics forum which is reserved for "sticky" topics we've moved there. Take a look also at the Astral Phasing threads, as the information in them is quite useful, and should be of interest to anyone familiar with Monroe.

Very best,
Nick

hello everyone,
I just wanted to share my new idea that has helped me relax more during the focus 10 and 12 exercises.
I live alone, and usually the only time I can practice Gateway Experience is around 1am...which to me, an absolute fear-of-the-dark-freak is a very bad idea. It takes ages for me to calm down. One thing I really love about the cd's is the ocean shore sound on the beginning of each exercise (I really regret that in the further "waves" there is this other horrible sound making relaxation completely impossible to me)..Because i really love the sea/ocean and it's one of the very few places that i feel safe at, I decided that i'll visualize that I'm doing the entire exercise on the beach (by visualization ofcourse) and when I get to the focus countdown, I'll lay my body on a wooden draft. I 'm so surprised how well this works for me.Visualizing the "swinging" that the draft makes helps relax, and is also a grat beginning to some other practices that help induce OBE.Plus the warm sun...mmmm;))
As I said it has helped me a lot, and allowed me to "sink in" much deeper.

ps. I only feel the cool breeze on my limbs and face.
Do you do anything with the cool feeling, like force it to go over your entire body?I so how, and what's the effect of it?
thanks
