I was just looking through some quotes on consciousness and stuff and  came across this one:
QuoteThe world is real. Consciousness is the illusion.
-Craig Bruce
Well, at first i was like "wtf whatever..NEXT".. not thinking it has much relevance because i always viewed the world as the illusion and consciousness as the reality. Then I'm like "Hold on man,,,**clicks back button** lets not just slip this by without actually putting some brain power to it" why waste em pretty brain waves, right? Lol.. So i started thinking: my idea of consciousness as i know it has changed over several times.. every stage is different. All experiences vary.. Yet the world remains in a constant objective arena, the only thing that is subjective about it is our mental paradigms and subjective charging. Now i guess the greater question is how you define "Real" by right..As far as we know, the world could cease to exist and we could essentially still be. At the same time, the world has physical matter, apparently we need this type of matter and energy to learn and evolve from certain things, so this is a desired arena for some entities. What do you guys think?

Thinking about matters of existentialism makes my head hurt.

Think I'd rather just be than thinking about being.

Whats the greater benefit of being without exploration?

It is hard to escape exploration in any form by simply "just being".

Just 'being' itself is objective, and in that one is in continuous observation.

Though being is certainly sensual =)

you've got a good point there!
Just being is a good way of experiencing.

I guess I try not to think about it too much because of my habit of over-analysing things. Just being, switching off the mental commentaries, allowing the world to drift before you, can give you a lovely sense of being the detached observer.

Over analysis isnt great either, I agree.  The detached observer is free, it is peaceful and content. At the same time the detached observer is willing and keen to learn from the endless curiosity that comes with its mentality. I think that sometimes instead of enjoying the be aspect of life, one can choose to favor it or analyzation due to the fear an expectancy in the outcome of belief.

Objectiveness has an accepting nature and is not bound by expentance or satisfaction.
