Hi there, where do you think consciousness is located? Do you think it is physical, non-physical? Also, can you give me some help on how to contact your Higher Self cos I am going through a bit of a rough patch in my Life at the moment.

Hi Donal,
I have always felt that my consciousness is non-physical and is multi layered or multi faceted in some way.

On contacting ones higher self I use two ways of making contact, The first is through silent and peaceful meditation. Keeping a clear and uncluttered mind here is important, contact in the form of a voice or images can often arise once this state is attained. It is important that you have a question or an issue in mind that you want an answer to, the responses can often be very surprising and unexpected.

The other method and my most preferred is through my dreams. Keeping a dream journal and learning to take an active part in my dreams has been extremely rewarding.

Once the language of ones dreams is understood and when one can become lucid enough to record and note details it will become apparent that the higher self is more often than not present in a high percentage of dreams, if not all, even just as an observer. Again I feel that it is important to have a question, or the problem or issue in mind in order for the higher self to respond.

Hi Me again!
Just to say, that the answers that the Higher self provides may not always be in the form of a straight forward voice or oral message, although this can and often happens.

In my case messages and answers have often be portrayed in the most subtle ways from images right down to a fragrance or scent.

Being prepared and patient to recieve the answers to ones questions is also a prerequisite, I feel.

I would only add that I do not consider "a higher self". Everything is consciouness - in different "aware concentrations" (like a stone has a different C as a flower might have and so on).

It's rather a matter of attention. We focus right now almost singularily - out of habit - on being in the physical and hardly on our "entire self". Therefore we use to think in terms of separation. We just shift our focus about like a microscope over a preparation. For "good" reasons, too. The physical is "too slow" to be aware of ALL the dimensions we are involved in
