I'm a little confused about attempting AP?

Alright, let us get to the point...

Last time I posted a topic, I mentioned how I was probably close to actually achieving AP/OBE. One thing I keep trying to wrap my mind around is HOW I even got to that point. Every time I've read on the subject, I hear on how I should probably get sleep paralysis. So as you could expect, I tried my best to get there. When I tried, I could get to what I think is partial paralysis but I could not do anything to deepen it, which resulted in me spending a while laying there getting frustrated. I was not really getting anywhere at all until that one time.

I wasn't even trying to AP or anything, the only thing I was doing was sitting there relaxing and not really thinking much of anything. I guess you could call it meditation, even though that wasn't my goal. I didn't feel numb or get vibrations or anything like that, it just happened out of the blue. I suddenly felt like I was falling through my chair and panicked. I think part of the reason why I panicked was because I didn't expect to get that far at all.

I guess I was under the assumption that as a beginner I had to be in SP? I wasn't in Sleep Paralysis at all, so I'm really confused at the moment. I've tried to recreate what happened, but maybe thinking something might happen ruined it? Could someone help shine some light on the matter?

Sorry if I seem dense or anything, I'm just asking so I can get a clearer picture...

Many beginners wait for various effects to appear and some of these never do.
The techniques used allow differing ways to success and these various effects don't appear in some methods.
This SP is something that a few of us have never experienced, the being bodily paralysed part that is.
If you're waiting for it you'll prevent yourself from being successful.
Go with the flow, uf it's there or not keep on with the attempt.
The falling through or flying sensation is normally your last sensation before you appear outside of your physical.
Interact with it by making a scene that would give the same feeling. A rollercoaster is common and the scene can develop around you putting you there. Once established your thoughts control what comes next.
Fear nothing as this will manifest. You get scared and scare yourself further.
The SP can be simply noises and plenty of wierd ones too.

There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

This Forum always has the best articles to read...You can google all day long and still not find the information you will find here...I go to every link posted and there is always something that clicks...

Now to the actual post...When I get SP I use to freak out and fight to move...If you have ever seen Dinner for Shmucks(?) the scene where Steve Carrell(?) and Zack Galafanakis(?) have their showdown at the IRS building(?).  He paralysis Steve Carrell with his mind, .  That is exactly how I felt during SP in my teens...

But if you can do it without having to go to sleep prior, or when actually meditating(I only see a dark Green color after waves of Red before serenity.), I applaud you.  You will have far greater experiences if you can get there through Meditation rather than SP.( This is my opinion, i may be wrong...) I hope other more experienced people help you...

I get amazed by those who do it through meditation...Respect.  :-D

From a meditative state, you are staying conscious the entire time, usually with no "click out". Although once in awhile you ,may click out for a minute or tow, before regaining consciousness.

In this technique, you must have control.

Projecting through SP is much easier, because you can do it from a systematic approach.

There are ways to induce a SP state, easily achieved by pre napping, as Bedeekin states it so much.

Just this weekend, I found myself in this exact state. I had just set up for my Renaissance Faire and my back was hurting badly, so I took a Percocet.

I was tired, so I took a hour and half nap, also Percocet basically knocks me out, lol.

I went to sleep for the night two hours later.

I awoke sleeping on my side and found the position uncomfortable, so I turned over to my stomach.

It seemed like a couple minutes later, I awoke with a mild vibration. I was totally aware of this now, so I just let it build.

I then either projected out of my body into the RTZ (real time zone) immediately or had a very brief click out before it. But regardless, I found myself at foot of my bed looking at MJ's and my sleeping body. Well, it was supposed to be MJ, but instead I saw a Native American girl about 25 years of age lying there.

This all happened with no intent whatsoever, no destination thought of or anything like that.

RTZ projections are very rare for me. They do occur almost every time due to SP, at least in my case.

When I Phase, the only time I see the RTZ is if that is my intended destination.

While Phasing from a meditative state you confront head on any fears you may have of the process, due to the simple fact that you will experience the entire effect of the many "sign posts" that can occur.
