I start to get vibrations and then I fall asleep

Have you tried the interupted sleep technique? Do something to wake in the night-alarm clock or make yourself get up to go to the bathroom, get back in bed and do some kind of energy technique, go back to sleep and see what happens. I could get all kinds of vibrations but could only project after waking and going back to sleep. Somehow this gets us beyond whatever fears[blocks we have.
In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

Or maybe it is because of the shadow memory that is not implemented into the physical brain.
Like, you actually had a projection but you cannot remember it.

I can't really change the time of day I try it, but I have tried changing positions, but I'll try that more.  And I have considered that I could not be remembering properly, but then how do I do that?  If I am getting out I'm obviously doing something wrong if I can't remember it.

What you need to do is lie in bed every night for an hour or as long as it takes your body to release melatonin, which will paralyze you during the vibrational state.

You will know when the melatonin is workin its way around your body and the sleep paralysis will slowly creep over you.

this is the only technique I use at night and it is very easy and effective, no need for visualizations etc, all that is required for you to do is figure out how to leave the body while its paralyzed.

Hello Findtruth,

I had exactly the same experience as you, but after listening to the binaural trance-inducing track. I felt strange vibrations in my hands, legs and feet, like a pulsating feeling. and eventually I fell asleep and when I woke up, I couldn't remember a thing.

But I didn't wake up naturally, my partner came down stairs and basically slaped my round the face to wake me up [:(!] not very nice I know...  But it gave me such a shock, I felt really sick and tired. The feeling of sickness eventually went away after about 10 minutes.

This was also my first attempt to Astral Project.
I haven't lost my mind, I've backed it up somewhere...

Hey captain, I to fell asleep a few times listening to that track. Knocked me right out lol.

Anyway's, I just wanted to say to findtruth that focus is really the key, I just got out for my first time yesterday. I did it by ignoring ( not even thinking about sensations, or feelings in my body ).

I just stayed focused and concentrated on my excersise. Their are many exercises you can do for focusing and visualization. I think they helped me incredibly.

Like always, just my 2 cents.  Much love

Cause if you can't clear your mind and focus, you'll never get out, you'll just lay their for ever and either fall asleep or get bored.

congratulations

I dont even get the vibrations [:(]

umm... no... that is the hardest thing in the world, becuase you tend to be UNCONSCIOUS far before your body ever paralyzes you (which is when REM starts)

so.... nope... not at all, not for me anyway.

so anyway... me... well.... i can get there in 15 minutes on a good day.... but you know.. I'M FALLING ASLEEP what am i to do to say "hey okay, body, keep falling asleep but leave my damn mind alone.. I just want to sit here and observe it..."

if my body goes to sleep, my mind goes with it... see say i'll be counting down from 5 over and over again... well pretty soon ONE thought enters my head, and since i'm about to fall asleep that thought becomes a voice which spars some sort of mild hallucination in my mind... and i get off track... and when this happens, I know it's happening, I know i need now, more than ever, to focus, but you know i'd might as well be drugged... becuase I'm just overflowing with mental.... death... mental sleepiness...

even during the middle of the day.

i'm triggerring the sleep mechanism, I just cannot keep my mind awake without waking me all the way up... i can't fight it without ruining it....
!..............!

Try just sort of mentally sitting back and letting things happen. Don't get excited just oberve with mild curiosity.  I still havn't OBE's but I used to "watch" myself fall asleep a lot, and it's actually quite fun.  Though i found it to be really annoying several times when my body went to sleep without me and me and my mind were left floating around in darkness.  It felt like the part of my mind that controlled my body turned off like a light and there i was. sitting there. It got boring after maybe three minutes, then i would either make my mind go to sleep or concentrate and eventually wake up my body.  I havn't done that in almost a year though, I should try it again.[:P]  Anyone else ever do that?  Why don't you try it, holy reality?

Thing

the little\easy trick is trying to wake up, the vibrations make you sleep, normally you have to sleep\relax to project, thats what they do, so do the inverse without really doing it (try to "almost wake up")

findtruth

I try to project almost every night (have only managed once and only half way out back in June) and my most common problem is I'll relax and then get a throbbing feeling and then vibrations all over my body, I'll feel the vibrations for a bit and maintain control but then I'll suddenly lose consciousness and I'll have no memory after that.  In other words, I get vibrations then fall asleep before I get any farther.[:P]  Any suggestions to solve this?[:)] And please don't say to "just focus"[xx(]
