Well i'm new at all of this. I've done a few spells, such as the protection chants and ive attempted an LBR, but other than that and meditating, im new.

Im really intrested in getting an Astral Projection, but i cant seem to get it. Ive tried multiple exit methods, and none seem to work. I can sort of feel my arms lifting out, but i can still  feel the floor and my consious mind, so i dont know how to get out from that point.

Any help?

What method do you use, as in, do you have a routine?

fthmdg

I go into my bedroom or a basement and lay on my bed or a couch or sometimes the floor, just kind of depends on the feeling i get. Then i just do what I do when I meditate to relax myself, which is to visualize a large, empty, white room to clear my thoughts. Once my thoughts are cleared and im relaxed, i start my first method.

I picture my atral body rising out of my physical body. Sometimes, i get a tingly feeling out of that, but it hasnt been working lately. The method I try after that is what gets my my results, though little. I use whats called the "Rope Method". I visualize a rope above me, with my Astral body pulling itself out of my with that rope. I can usually feel what i think is the arms of my astral body leave and grabing the rope, but i cant pull it out...

when that doesnt work, i usually go off and meditate for about 15-25 min. Then i go back and try the gazing method. I  place a small wooden block on the table next to my bed and I stare at it as I doze off. If i can see the object when I close my eyes, I can then sit up and leave my physical body.

I havent goten out yet, and I can't figure out why.
hope that helps, reply asap please

hey max! I just registered! I am having these same problems except i'm not quite getting out at all. I get the tingle, and in my head i can see a yellow tunnel. But i end up being distracted by something.

OK. First, you have to do a lot of relaxation exercises until you feel 'loose'.  You have to get yourself to the body asleep/mind awake state before you try an exit technique, such as rope, etc.  Now there will be people that will tell you that they can get out without reaching that stage, but these are the exception to the rule- these are people that are natural projectors and have reached a state of ability to enter trance fairly quickly.  For the rest of us mortals, you have to get to this stage.
My recommendation:
about 20-30 minutes relaxation exercises
the same for trance.
If you're still not experiencing some sort of exit sensation (vibrations or some sort of 'loose' feeling), then do  the 'noticing' exercise-.
Just look at the blackness in front of your eyes.  Expect hypnagogic hallucinations- if you get them, you are close.
When you get to that stage, then start trying exit techniques.
Good luck and happy travels.

i got some boxed nirvana sounds to help w/ that.. about 45 min of them... do u think that'll help?

fthmdg

Well, last night, i tried again with some boxed nirvana sounds. I meditated for about 20 min to clear my mind, then i began. I got a lot of vibrations and tinglying in my spine and my arms, as well as in my head. I didnt get out, but when I woke up this morning, the sensations were still there.

You're on the right track- no pun intended.

thats cool.. just wondering, how long does it usually take for someone to get this, cuz ive only been trying this stuff since saturday. (3 days ago haha)

My current process goes like this (it's changed many times in the past to get to one that I prefer): I get home, I exercise, then I do a standing Qi-Gong exercise, then I lay down and listen to entrainment (usually Hemi-Sync). I focus on relaxation.

Yesterday, though, while I was doing this I heard a voice say, "Sense, don't speak."

I took this to mean, instead of allowing inner dialog to ramble on, I should just sense images that pop up, see, hear, smell them. Still my mind so that it was actively sensing but not speaking.
A certain degree of neurosis is of inestimable value as a drive, especially to a psychologist - Sigmund Freud

hmm..ill try that. I usually just tell myself to keep relaxed, and visualize my astral body leaving mine... and if i hear a noise, i tell myself to ignore it and focus on the music.

I read on a poll somewhere that most people project after 60 days of an established practice.  Of course, it was just a poll...

I recently bought the book Astral Voyages by Dr. Bruce Goldberg. I read about leaving the body and entering the body, plus a few techniques. I tried one and got vibrations all over after about 3 minutes. I then attempted to exit, but right at that moment my dog barked and i lost all calmness.

"I visualize a rope above me, with my Astral body pulling itself out of my with that rope. I can usually feel what i think is the arms of my astral body leave and grabing the rope, but i cant pull it out"

Since ROPE is a tactile technique, it might really help to forget about visualizing all together, and really put some effort into the feel. thats what makes it work.
The mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art, and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are dimmed.

I use a really good sound track by barrie konicov, he gets you to relax by using sunlight to relax every muscle of your body. he then gets you to imagine that ur body is a class container, which you use to remove the lower negative viabrations such as anger, hate and jellousy.

Once he has done all that, he then encourages your astral body to lift...

im still finding it difficult to lift, but i am seeing some progress

id suggested listening to that
