Title: Innovative idea #3
Post by: Quo Animo on December 14, 2005, 22:18:14
this is a convo with hypnomulley1956 (hypnotist 1 on ap)

Chronologic:  i came up with an idea.
Chronologic:  you know how some people have trouble reaching theta right?
hypnomulley1956: yes
Chronologic:  well you say when we wake up we go from  theta, alpha to beta.... i think that if we tied a blindfold around ourselves while sleeping ,when we are about to get up we would already be in theta and experience it
Chronologic:  i tried it and it works
Chronologic:  i slept with a tie tied around my eyes and i woke up and saw hypnagogic imagery
Chronologic:  I saw my 5th grade religion book as soon as i woke up
hypnomulley1956: cool
Chronologic:  if we want to experience it fully we would need to stay still when we open our eyes and close them automatically....
Chronologic:  i should post this on astral pulse and let them try it
hypnomulley1956: in somnambulism one can open eyes and still be in that state and see the images also
Chronologic:  yea
Chronologic:  i'm going to try my method tonight to see if it is full-proof

I find that wearing a sleeping mask helps me.  It creates a nice, deep, uniform darkness,  excellent for the noticing exercise and visualization.

The problem I have with sleeping masks is they itch, but worse, there's always some seam around my nose or cheekbones that lets light in - and being obsessive as I am, well, it renders the mask useless. What I really want is some of those VR goggles, plug that into a Winamp visual plugin or even BWGEN's little screen flasher.

Please write a short explanation of this experiment. I'll get a scarf and try it once I understand better what it is I'm doing.

I read your post, but it's not clear to me. Are you saying, blindfold yourself, and when you wake up, you'll see hynogogic imagery?

im gonna try this tonight and see how it goes for me. I think it wil help, cus a problem i have most of the time is light in the backround. I cant close my door all the way, and I see the little bit of light shining through the door crack and it bothers me, so hopefully this will help
