What happens if you become lucid in a third-person dream?

9 out of 10 of my dreams are third-person, so I was just wondering. :-)

Thanks in advance.

Hi Goober

I'm assuming you mean that when you dream, you are watching the dream, rather than taking part in it?

If so, then when you become lucid, you should be able to phase into the environment (if you want to) and become active in the dream.  That's what phasing is, basically.  Alternatively, you could study the dream with your faculties in tact and see what is has to offer you, or what it is teaching you.  Or for fun, you could try to change the environment/characters - see if that works.

Simply put, play around with what you can/can't do.

Whenever I've successfully phased, I seem to watch a scene open out before me, I tend to be incredibly lucid and within a few moments find myself in the environment I've just been looking at.  Occasionally, I've been able to put my hand into the scene (not my real hand) and see it waving about, and then bring it out again and so on.  This is trickier to do, because once you start going into the scene, it seems to have an effect of drawing you in.

Good luck with it and keep us posted!  :-)
