Title: Introspection

This is a special type of training that has led me to what I am and can do today. Keep in mind this type of "training" will kick you in the butt, but it's worth it. I felt that I had to share this as it is quit powerful.

Introspection

Introspection is going through your inner psyche and general self. Through meditation, a mystic can correct his personality flaws, attain emotional balance, go through past life regression, and attain an understanding of himself, the world around him, and his place in both. It is considered one of the greatest ways of attaining enlightenment and is a requirement by most schools of mystical practice.

Each individual goes through at least some introspection on a daily basis. This kind of thought usually is caused by circumstances causing us to think about the actions we took a moment before. Deeper and more powerful introspection requires at least partial separation from the outside world while you go into deep meditation.

A good amount of mystics make the mistake of completely locking out the outside world while going through a period of introspection. What happens during this time is that problems and responsibilities start lapping one on top of the other, each one making the previous worse and causing frustration to the individuals around you. Your external priorities should be taken care of first before you go into an introspective state of mind, or in the case of individuals who are deep thinkers even while doing their tasks, they should take care not to suddenly find themselves so deep in introspection someone has to snap them out of their state of mind in order to get them back on the task on hand. To avoid the latter some of the deeper thoughts should be pushed till the back till later when all tasks are done and the individual has free time enough to contemplate the deeper mysteries in his or her mind.

Introspection is a path to understanding yourself and the world around you. It is an all-important path of enlightenment which allows an individual to first find his own inner strengths and weakness, learn from his past mistakes, and find out why his emotions work the way they do. It also allows an individual to gain an understanding of other individuals. The more you understand of yourself the better you can understand the world around you, and likewise the more you understand the world around you the more you can understand yourself and your place in the world.

Some of the deepest Introspection leads to astral projection, past life regression, and higher enlightenment. These mystics have spent many thousands of cumulative hours on introspection. Gaining such understanding from this type of introspection often leads to a full and healthy life, and a harmony with the individuals around you that cannot be properly described with words.

It is important to note that individuals who practice this should not simply consider themselves in introspection, but their views on external matters, their relationships with other people, and overall their place in the world. This allows an individual to gain not only the above mentioned, but to keep his ego in check and to create humility while gaining such deep understanding.

Practice

There is no definite place to begin introspection. Any of the suggested places to start your train of thought will do. While going through such thoughts, an individual should notice after so many cumulative hours that each of the subjects almost merge and that they are related to each other in different ways.

Each train of thought should go in spirals: that is, you continually go over the same train of thought in different ways. It's similar to turning a cube around in your hand and looking at it from different angles. Such thinking will seem chaotic at first but after a while it will make it's own kind of sense. This practice allows an understanding of different viewpoints and understandings. If you are thinking of your relationship with your grandparents, for example, you go over the emotions and thoughts that immediately come to mind, but then you think of what it might be like in their point of view, then you go back to your own point of view again and go over that, and note the gain of understanding and changes in your thoughts when you do so. Then you take a single event and go over that in your mind, and think of the "what if" questions and the "why's" that often come up when doing such thinking. Both positive and negative aspects should be covered, and most introspection often starts in the negative and thus leads to a destructive and humble path. Often, this turns most practitioners off from this path. It is exactly what a soul goes through in the heaven or hell state after death, they go through their thoughts and memories in this same manner, and eventually burn away all regret this way. Such a practice while alive will keep an individual humble and on a constructive path that benefits not only himself, but all he associates with when concerning himself. A mystic having done this upon hundreds of cumulative hours of thoughts will gain social balance and harmony, and will start gaining memories of past lives.

When going through such emotions, memories, and thoughts on such a deep level an individual often almost forces a trance state. Memories become clearer, thoughts become more focused, and emotions become stronger when this happens. A practitioner might not experience this until quite a few hours of introspection. When this happens, a special type of mental projection occurs often called an "initiation to your higher being" by some forms of practice and to others it might be called "Inner projection."

The amount of hours being mentioned already can be quite appalling at first glance, however during your regular life you likely already go through an hour of introspection a day on average. This figure varies from person to person, but if you add a two hour meditation session a day then the hours add up quickly. Within a week you already have twenty-one hours. Within a month you should have accumulated almost a hundred hours already. The hours add up quickly, but remember everyday introspection like most people do in their regular lives is often not deep enough thought to count towards these hours. This type of introspection is deep and most certainly life-changing. Your deepest, darkest thoughts in everyday life will seem like hell and your most joyous moments will become heaven. These kinds of emotions being turned around and inspected will create understanding and force degrees of enlightenment.

There is much to think about, your place in society, be it your town, school, nation, world, astral location, or otherwise, your memories, your emotions, your desires, your luck, your physical body, your wishes, your family, and many others. Some people can extend this type of thinking to their work, their art, or their hobbies.

thx
i would like to add is that it is worth going down the spiral again, to check if something new wasn't uncovered
i imagine it as a sea with some parts (wrecks?) above surface, some deeper, and as you catch them go deeper and deeper, memories will resurface on their own, but it can take some time, and as you clear one layer another takes it's place, emotions too

do you have guardians over some parts of your memories ?

Yes, though mostly they are there in case other people try to access my memories.

Memory is like water, it is quite fluid and moves around. Sometimes I have found myself with someone elses memories in my head  . I was a little kid at the time and the amount of introspection I did/day was probably at it's second highest level in my life. This got me into a lot of trouble with my extremely tempered parents. I laugh at the this now though.

In a projection, you find one of two things: it either becomes so etheric and symbolic that you don't know what is going on, and you think you went to sleep, or it becomes so crystal clear and vivid that you know something happened. In the crystal clear type of projection, it is best to take advantage of the situation and try and access your higher self.

As for clairsentient higher self downloading, that is hit and miss and doesn't always work for some individuals I noticed.

So a memory can be distinguished as an in-between of the two projections. When you start feeling you have lost control or you start feeling you have expanded yourself extremely suddenly it is most likely a projection.

as for memory being faulty, I find that in this type of exercise this doesn't matter, you will go through the memories that first appear in your mind and keep rolling with that.

When you're first starting out with an issue and are having problems finding the source of emotions, a good technique to try is free association writing.

Yes, this has helped for me on a number of occasions.
