I had a dream last night in which I became aware I was dreaming. I said aloud that I was, and nothing happened, but then it began to fade to about 85% (made the dream "fuzzier"). I tried to get out but nothing happened. I was stuck in the dream. So I just went for hurting the girls in my dream. I'm not violent or anything like that; never been in a fight. Something happened that made it hard to get to the first girl anyway, something that happens a lot in my dreams : not being able to move quickly when I really need to. Kind of like a slow computer or like my dream can't keep up with running. It's like trying to move through mud. Another part of the same night included me trying to get into a vehicle fast... same problem. When I tried, it was kind of like trying to change a song in my head when a song is annoying me. Any suggestions as to why it feels that way or how they're connected?

Has anyone else had the same problem trying to get out? They tried, but just couldn't?

There's a misconception that you need to "get out" while you've already became aware.

You became aware you were dreaming while you were dreaming... you're *already out*.  Just place your Intent to go somewhere or do something.  There's never any need to return to your body to "get out", you're making it twice as hard on yourself.

As Tom says, you don't need to get out of your body... you need to get into your consciousness.  Which, at the point you said you became aware you were dreaming, you were ALREADY into your consciousness.  :)

Nah, I don't think to become aware to get out. I think it's possible to realize I'm dreaming without actually projecting. Basically, I think it was just a dream. Especially since I don't hurt real people :). I know that others have projected successfully from a dream.. I just didn't. Either way, I couldn't do anything except stay in my dream.

As for returning to my body, I definitely wouldn't do that! I was afraid I'd go back into consciousness, actually. I wanted to go into my room. I didn't get to see that happen. I want another go... I think I had one because of an episode of a TV show I watched where they were in dreams. They were trying to tell what setting was real and what wasn't (they were being shifted back and forth). What I watch tends to influence what happens in my dreams.

Oh oh oh!  I so do love it when people say that.  :)

Cause I ask this... "What is a dream?"

You say "Basically, I think it was JUST a dream"... this means that you know exactly what a dream is?  Right?  :)

Have you given any serious thought towards that question before?  What IS a dream?  I have... and the conclusion I came to was that what humanity calls a "dream" doesn't really exist.

QuoteEspecially since I don't hurt real people :)
Our actions and reactions in the non-physical, especially when you have little to no awareness (lucid or dream awareness), are more based upon you at the "being" level, instead of the "intellectual" level.  You act more pure to your being... that's no to say you identify yourself as someone who would go out and actively hurt people... but perhaps, somewhere deep down, even beyond a level which you don't even consciously realize... there's something there which you don't like about yourself.  That's the nature of how the non-physical can help us grow spiritually by letting us get a glimpse of our deepest, inner self.

QuoteI know that others have projected successfully from a dream.. I just didn't. Either way, I couldn't do anything except stay in my dream.
But, I'm just here to inform you that you did INDEED project.  I'm not suggesting you did... I'm not guessing you did... I'm telling you, you did.

And the reason you're unable to accept this answer is because you've already got a set of limitations in your mind of what a "Projection" is.  My suggestion to you is this: Forget about everything you're ever read about astral projection, because it's meaningless.  Even what I just said!  Ironically!  ;)

Once you shift your perception from Astral Projection being something you "do" to a state of mind you "are"... you'll begin to see the forest for the trees.  :)

Anyway, you asked for help with getting out... I gave you help based upon my perceptions.
Feel free to take bits and pieces of it... feel free to ignore it completely.  Remember YOU asked US... it's all good.  :)
