I have some issues when I try to Astral Project. I still have no been able to Astral Project, I am really getting annoyed, its been almost a year of trying every night.
Now here is my problems.
1: When I sleep my saliva always seems to overload in my mouth, it doesn't really go down my throat, I need to swallow it, and that messes up my concentration.
2: When it gets cold I want to cover myself with Sheets and try to Astral Project. The sheets seem to be a distraction for me because I can't seem to Astral Project with them on me. I find it easier to Astral Project with no Sheets on me.
How can I solve these problems?
I want to AP but I STILL can't and I am getting mad now cause of it.
I always try to AP on my back, with my hands apart, palms facing down, and feet together. Head is also down. My body is all flat. Even when I put my head on a pillow I still can't seem to get the saliva down without having to force it.
Well I'll tell you one thing... the more angry you get, the less likely you'll do it.
Stay calm, don't have any expectations. :)
Maybe don't expect too much when you try
The higher your expectations are, the more angry/frustrated you will get when they don't happen. I find using affirmations helps ALOT, more then I ever thought they would, maybe they will help you? Saying things like..
"I project out of my body and remember everything when I wake up."
"I safely leave my body and remember everything in the morning."
"I love to Astral Project."
Saying things like that over and over again out loud seems to work wonders! Also, the saliva thing is a problem for me too sometimes, I just leave my mouth open.
Try not to get too frustrated. Keep with it, it will happen, and that's a promise.
You just have to keep trying :-)
Sorry for my brief response last night, it was late and I was heading off to bed. :)
Now...
Answer this question for me? How do you fall asleep at night?
It's an important question because you should treat your AP attempts as if you're just falling asleep for the night. If you need to scratch something, do it quietly and slowly, then go back. You should be able to move slightly without breaking your focus/concentration. If you need to swallow, do so.
The big key here is to stay relaxed. Keep relaxing every part of your body (including your head and all associated head-muscles) until you feel them oozing relaxation. Then do it some more. :)
Also, I find that position doesn't really matter at all either. Don't be too concerned with the details like what way your hands are facing or if your feet are together. Just position yourself so you're comfortable.
If you find that having sheets over you is distracting, I'd probably go ahead and do it anyways. Learn to not get distracted.
Your physical body will drop a bit in temperature when you're projecting, so it's best to keep it covered a bit. Otherwise, the chill can also add to the distraction.
