Hi all,

its been a while, hope everyone is doing well :)

anyway I've been projecting a lot, basically through the WILD technique, but each time I do it's just a blurry mess of my immediate surroundings. Sometimes I'll get out of hand and try to fly or something only to end up blacking out and getting lost in my consciousness.
Does anyone have any advice on how to reach higher planes for a more meaningful experience? I have tried contacting guides after projecting but nothing usually happens. Part of me was thinking that maybe I have to get my concentration on these lower planes down before going any 'further', but i'd love to hear from you all.

Thanks,
-Firmitas

This is a personal theory of mine that is shared by some writers, like John Magnus.

You have to work out your psychological issues first.  You have to gain control of your subconscious so that you can direct your mind.

Like I've said, in the past, in occult groups, adepts weren't even allowed to attempt astral projection until they had mastered their own mind.  It's still much the same in many eastern traditions like Taoism or Buddhism (for the monks anyway).

I'll PM you later with some things you can do to work on that, but right now I've got to head out to handle some stuff.
be awesome.

Sometimes we are in simulations where we are to learn sth and are being blocked to fly skywards. Sometimes when I tried to fly up into the sky then even sth blocked the way. The same happened to Monroe once with lots of cables. This 'astral gravity' can be disturbing but we need to accept it and to make the best of it.

Sometimes however, I found out that the possibilty exists. First, one has to overcome negativity (hence I agree to everything PR writes) and be in a positive mood. Secondly a firm intention set is important. I'd suggest you try this. Maybe give the command "Higher Level Now" or so. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

The first time I went up to a higher level was when i gave the command "get me to a higher level" and then I flew up to this beautiful library. Sometimes I reach out my hands in the air and ask to be drawn up. This works, mostly the helpers remain invisible. I have a new project going on with changing my frequency of my 'body' but I am still doing the testing. The first result however was surprisingly well. I might make a thread about this 'technique' and my research soon.

I would advise to forget about the astral planes.  All you need to do is when you are out of your body is keep saying, awareness now.  While saying awareness now, feel your face, look at your hands and see what you are wearing.  You will become very aware. If it is still a blurry mess, keep repeating I only see what is real now.  It should work.

I found you don't move up a "level" until you have learned what the previous one was there for!  :-)

There are no "higher" or "lower" planes.  There are simply a number of different reality frames which you can experience.

The connection between "higher" and "lower", is (as I've found) in comparison to how well you can focus your mind and how well you can hold that focus for extended periods of time.  HEY!  That sounds like how to meditate!

Simply put... I've found that there's a direct connection between how much control one has over their mind and the 'kind' (that's a horrible word... I can't think of anything better to use right now though) of reality frame you're experiencing.

To take a page out of Tom's book... the more you can lower your entropy and increase the quality of your consciousness, the "more" you'll be able to directly experience in the non-physical.  That's really the best way to describe it... if you're wondering now what "lowering your entropy" and "quality of consciousness" mean, I'll just direct you to one of Tom's lectures: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1vYHOPFgcg

Start with that video and work your way through them.

There are higher and lower planes. They are just a metaphorical expression of what you call different reality frames. But you always have to specify 'different by what'? "Higher and lower" are parameters in one spectrum of characterising the reality frames (for which 'planes' also is another metaphor if you will) or for 'switching / navigating between' them. Yes, there are definitely other valid parameters, too.

But from my and other experiencers perspective the navigation from 'lower to higher' is accurate as you can 'choose' to navigate this way between reality frames. TC would make the difference between higher entropy reality frames and lower entropy reality frames, this is just another description of lower or higher planes respectively. It's all about words, you see?

Yes,  and I addressed this, but they're not hierarchical as the terms "higher"  and "lower"  suggest.   They just "are".
At least as I've found.

I'll check out the lectures, can you give me the name of the book?

I've noticed that I have times where I am focusing as hard as i can and things are remaining pretty clear but all of the sudden, things will go black. Is this to be expected?

I just dont know what to do when I get out of my body so I think that's why I will stumble around until I black out again.
I've tried chanting some mantras and thats always a trip haha.

I'll try some of the commands mentioned as well. But once you guys get out-of-body, what do you typically do?

Thank you all so much for the advice, I am always grateful for this forum as I cant imagine figuring these things out, without it.

This is not true, I don't believe so at least. It's not that matter of reaching the higher planes, it's the matter of retaining your memory and experience while in these higher planes.

Like PR, this is what I believe also. We must master our mind, our thoughts and become more aware of our selves in order for us to remember our journey into these higher planes

Boom

Personally I think meditation is a good tool. It helps you to practice to focus your mind. Something that is very hard to do in the physical. Even harder to do when you're in Astral Projection.

Bowling for Columbine was just on tv the other day while I was reading and I stopped to take notice when he went to canada and just walked into people's houses because no one locked their doors.  So I was just wondering.

I couldn't imagine where that was... if you don't lock your door, you're a idiot.
There are people here who have had people knock on their doors only to have them push in and assault them... this happened a few streets over actually from me.
