To those who have travelled out of body on numerous occasions:
You wouldnt want to step off a train to NYC in the middle of the night to walk around cluelessly - that could be suicide. I don't want to do that in Astral Travel either.
What should I prepare for and how should I prepare? Would you guys give me sort of a "tourist guide" for when I achieve my first astral experiences?
From what i am aware of your thought patterns induce your guidance for travel to a DEGREE.
For example i am meditating and i leave my body a thought of say Tokyo comes to mind its possible i could travel there i am sure if you are referring to "realms" then it differs person to person exploration is the key explore these strange places keep an open mind remove any hostility and observe.
For peace of mind you can not be harmed physically so go have adventure ;)
I am only a beginner so sorry if the info is rendered useless:)
I think you have the wrong idea of what Astral Travel is.
I think you need to read some of the many "stickies" and stories to be found here, before you ask any more questions.
This practice takes a lot of practice, patience and perseverance. A good part of that is taking the time to educate yourself on the practice in General.
All the info you need is on this Forum, you just have to take the time to find it.
This is not a race. To proceed down this path is a life-altering decision.
It may not seem so now, but when you look back at it in a couple of months or years and you will see I am right.
Youtube.com is also filled with great videos on AP, for people that don't like to read.
Good Luck and Safe Travels! :-)
Hello Bulletinte
You ask a Very good question. But unfortunately I don't have a good idea as to how to answer it. Getting lost during an OBE/AP happens a Lot to me. So I can only advise being flexible and above all, Don't Panic". Trust your instincts as to whether an astral location is inherently dangerous or not. And, if it is, leaving is always an option. Otherwise just go with the experience as it could lead to an out of body adventure (or misadventure). :-D
Regards 8-)

Honestly, I'm pretty darn scared about that part.
Don't be at all. Its one of the things that change the way you look at everything for the better. You'll understand this in detail once you start opening some doors. It takes time like anything that leads towards perfection. Athletes know this and they work really hard to be the worlds best. For them its a race, for this subject it's all a learning process. Time doesn't matter, being confident and knowing what this journey holds will improve you does.
Enjoy it, I have for decades.
Don't be scared. If at anytime, you sense danger, you're usually transported back to your body anyways.
Also, you will ease into it; first you will only be able to project places very familiar to you, such as your house. once you get more experienced, then you can start exploring.
