Well... yeah. It's not really surprising since it's a higher frequency than that of which we normally operate at. While we are awake, our consciousness is in beta wavelengths. Believe it or not, when we "sleep"/meditate/lucid dream/etc. and we are in that calm, quiet and peaceful state of mind, our brains are actually more active than ever.
