Title: Manual Exit

Don't try too many things all at once.

I know it's frustrating in attempting to project, but the best state of mind for projection is a passive state of mind, almost an "I don't care whether I do or don't" attitude.

Robert Bruce mentions that so many potential travelers blow it because they relax and then try to move their astral bodies too soon.  Get used to being incredibly relaxed first.

I've got to the stage you are talking about, but I know I'm not ready to separate yet.  Unfortunately, I can't tell you how I know when I'm ready, I just know!  Sorry to be so vague.

That's my experience anyhow.

Keep practicing.  You can't create a piece of music by learning each different instrument for a couple of hours at a time.  Find an instrument you are comfortable with, and practice, practice practice!

Hope this helps [:)]

Thanks Sarah, and I guess that would explain why it wasn't working, lol.

One piece of advice:  If you can still feel your physical body, it's too soon.  There are exceptions, but if you were one you'd know already.  This is for a concious OOBE.  AP can be different, but I'm just confusing you.

I frequently fall asleep and LD instead.  I then conciously exit (and you will know when you do, it's a unique way to wake up), and go right to OOBE/AP.  It's possible to do it directly from the LD, but I have better luck ejecting then going back under, that's just me.  Try to not move or even open your eyes.  The LD usually lasts about 5-7 realtime minutes.  On a good Saturday morning, I can go for 2 hours of mixed LD/AP/OOBE (winter is better, no Lawnmowers).

Just a question about another way of exiting.  Is is possible to shut all you senses down till the point of not feeling certain parts of your body and then pulling them out or just start moving them?  I'm still trying for my 1st OOBE and trying a bunch of different stuff.  Thanks.
