That method does look pretty cool, and strange. I havent heard anything like it, also its a little confusing towards the last few steps. But what the hey, Ill give it a shot, who knows, maybe itll work!

Welp I tried it last night..

It was all going well, I got to step 4, started seeing the hypnognic images and sounds.  Then I got this feeling that a bug or something was crawling on my left arm.  I tried to ignore it and tell myself I was just imagining it...but I really don't like bugs crawling on me and I freaked out.

So then I was completely awake, and mad because I had blown the whole thing and I didn't feel like trying it again that night.

I will be trying it again sometime soon though.  I think I was closer to projecting then than I would be using all the other methods I've tried.

I was browsing throught the astralsociety.com forums and came across a technique I have never seen before.  I have not yet tried it, but people on that forum are reporting success.  Here it is:

"Hello all, my first time posting here. Just wanted to say firstly that it is a pleasure to be amond you all here. Now, getting down to the nitty gritty.

Let me be clear that all of my friends who have tried this method has had success rate in virtually a week. But it mostly had to do with the fact that they have completly devoted themselves to meditation, lucid dreaming and astral projection and things of that nature. I have devised this method for teenagers like myself and people who are under 30.

This is mainly because the astral body is quite attached to the physical at such a young age and that  is why we youngins have such a hard time projecting. However glitch's post on the best ap method beats this one by far. I have given it a try and it has worked fantastically. Takes some time to fall asleep though withought thinking about projecting so if you are not patient enough to go through that, you can try this.

Ok here goes:
Step 1:  Do light stretches probably around 10 min. Dont get too warmed up ( like getting your heart racing and things like that) your not going to do a workout. Get a light light sweat going.  Suggested areas to stretch are , back, chest, HAMSTRINGS <--- Very important you'll see why soon, ankles. The reason I suggest getting a light sweat going is because it makes it easier to sleep. I sleep without a shirt so I suggest you guys try that. With a fan blowing air in your direction. With the sweat on your body, the cooling sensation will get you relaxed super fast. Plus you feel great after you stretch the hamstrings.


Step 2: Lie down on the FLOOR and keep your legs rested on a chair. For example:  *diagram*  [  h-_o  ]      {h} stands for chair
                                                     {-} stands for the calves, or knee down portion of your legs                        {o} is obviously your head.
Ok now be warned as I said this is for youngsters. There will be a lot of pain in your legs.

Step 3: Count your breaths (exhale only) to around 150. By this point, your legs from the knee down will feel like they are non-existant or you will feel some pain. Not to worry, if you feel like giving up know its fine because myself and all my friends gave up the first few days because its painful. You will build your threshold in time though. This happens mainly because even though blood is being circulated throughout your body, not much is going to your calves. Not to worry nothing bad can happen. I have been doing this for 1 year now and also checked with my physician.

Step 4: This is an important part now. Try and visualize yourself lying on your bed like how you do everyday (face up only) Imagine the floor being a soft bed and Don't even ATTEMPT to try to move your astral body. Just do this for aprox 30 min more. By now, your hypnognic (SP?) imagery will be quite intense to imagine the walls on your room and eventually you should be able to visualize or get some idea of the fan, chair, the ceiling or outline atleast. I have to a level where I can perfectly visualize my room like how I see it daily.

Step 5: This is the MAIN part. When you feel ready, (you can do a breath countdown if you like. Which is what I do. I use 200 as a standard for me the newer you are to this, the longer the count) simply as an act of TRUST get up and go to the door. This should be like how you get up from your bed every morning and go for the door. The KEY here is TRUSTING your astral double and getting some confidence in it in the process. Read  glitch's article on the best ap method for more on TRUST and things of that nature.



I hope this has helped you guys, 2 of my friends both guys (18 yrs old) were extremely lucky and reported EXTREMELY clear astral projections.

Tip: What helped my in the first few steps is imagine that your head is the only part of your bady capable of sensation. Try and imagine you are complely paralyzed. Kinda hard because of the slight numbness you feel in your legs. But give it a shot."
