Title: My Current Method for AP
Post by: LadySegesta on April 07, 2010, 21:09:28
I recently posted a topic in the Member's Introdutions, to which Xanth suggested I should make such a topic as this. So, here you go Xanth! :D

As of now I'm a little bit busy trying to finish up high school (I am a Senior currently on my last 20 days of school before getting out for summer until community college). But here is my outline for astral projecting for when I can find the time to try.

1. Relaxation Exercise for 2-3 minutes
2. Energy Work for 5 minutes of the Robert Bruce kind
3. Breathing Exercise for 3 minutes
4. Affirmation for 5-7 minutes (in which I repeat "Mind Awake/Body Asleep" and soon get lulled into a miniature sort of trance state

After #4 I do one of two things:
1. Visualize falling asleep in my physical body and waking up shortly after in my astral body and then going wherever
2. Repeat affirmations such as "Now I am out-of-body" over and over. When I do this, I usually get as far as very minor vibrations before I fall asleep.

I usually practice trying to AP at night. I know a lot of you around here say *not* to do that, hence why I also try and wake up at 4 in the morning on a daily basis, so then my body is used to it and on the days I am able to do so, I can try the aforementioned outline.

Unfortunately I have not had much luck with getting successfully out-of-body with full-blown consciousness. If anybody can give me any tips of what-nots, that would be great thanks!

What kind of "sensations" do you currently experience with that particular regime?

Would you elaborate on this?
"1. Visualize falling asleep in my physical body and waking up shortly after in my astral body and then going wherever"

Hi Lady Segesta, I'm in the same boat. I'm a senior and just finishing up school at Clackamas of Oregon. Where do you go? And I have a usual regiment of energy working during the day, meditation, and during obe times I usually do: breath focus, energy work, deep focus, exit technique. I've had a hand full of close conscious obes, but close! :D

Xanth: I do not get very much out of this regime (I made it up, so that's maybe why :-P). At best I can, however, get very minor vibrations. But even in the few times I have gotten such minor vibrations, I have not been able to move past them into my astral body and out of my physical. Rather, I tend to fall asleep faster after I them. Figures. Pssh.

CFTraveler: There's no real way I can elaborate more on how I said that, but I guess what I meant by that was: I try to create in my mind a sort of miniature film of me successfully leaving my body. No luck with it though. Just the minor vibrations I spoke of above. Huh. :|
