I've been reading some more of Frank Kepple's beliefs of this reality, the NPR, and the universe and the way things are. If I'm understanding him correctly, his explanations may allow for a creepy , disturbing, but yet a very intriguing possibility, to me anyhow. First, I'll give a quick rundown of what I believe he is saying. If I am misunderstanding him, please correct me and let me know if my theory could still hold water within his belief system.

This reality (RTZ?), the NPR, and the entire universe for that matter has been "constructed" by us. Us being a collective yet individual consciousness. This reality is but one of many ways we have created in order to provide us with opportunities to grow and learn. In other words, we all agreed and set the "rules" for this reality even though we are not capable of knowing this without exploring the NPR in a sense. This would explain a lot of "supernatural phenomena" such as solid materials moving on their own and even freakier, they can disappear into thin air and then reappear seemingly out of nowhere. That about explains my understanding of it right now based on his beliefs.

If I am correct in understanding him, this opens the possibility of a scary yet naively guilty pleasure of mine. I have been a huge fan of the zombie genre for about thirty years. If it has to do with zombies, I'm on it. From a scientific standpoint, the furthest I am able to entertain a zombie apocalypse possibility is thru a virus in which the zombie would be more of a "28 Days Later" version of an actual living infected person but not a true zombie in the classical sense. Either way, it's scary as hell.

But if we really are living in a reality constructed by our collective consciousness, could the recent world-wide zombie craze open the door to a real zombie crisis? Since zombies are on the minds of a lot more people these days, it seems to me that the virus zombie has some competition to another plausible scenario by which they could manifest thru our collective consciousness. I am only speaking from within my understanding of Frank's belief system. I have no expectations to waking up in this reality and meeting a zombie anytime soon but the possibility is too tantalizing for a zombie nut like me to pass up.

This is just a fun question for me but I would like some serious comments on what you guys think. Thanks and proceed.

Go to Sutton near London on an afternoon. There you will see Zombies.

sorry

I partially entertained the same idea when it came to dec 2012. I thought that so many people were thinking about it that something may have happened. But in hindsight... this is only really a small portion of the western world.

The same goes for Zombies. Although, granted they are pretty cool... the actual population of the world as a whole probably isn't mad on zombies. This question actually reminds me of the recent spate of Zombie-like attacks... actually, only one I can think of, when that guy ate the face of that homeless man in the States.

Also.. you are assuming that we create this reality on wishful thinking or as a mass thought experiment; if enough people think or believe something then it could manifest as reality. This isn't the way it works.

For a start the world and the universe did a fantastic job of existing well before we popped up. The world and everything in it still obeys the ruleset of physics. This can't be broken. The very fact that this reality exists creates the solid rulesets that make it constrained. Only tiny little things break through this firewall of reality... small psi events like stones being thrown in haunted houses... people moving tiny bits of paper with their minds or other small strange anomalies that don't quite break the paradigm that is reality. I think alien abduction breaches this rule bit that's a different thread.

If it was for the good of the whole... the whole single consciousness that we are tiny weeny little fragments of... if a zombie apocalypse was something that could improve the quality of an evolving collective consciousness and lower its entropy... then maybe yes.

It would be a rather drastic way of reducing the population so that humanity could learn the true meaning of life... once it got past the de-evolved 20 steps back situation of pure survival.

Okay that's enough with the serious replies, You have succeeded in killing my childish fantasy. I know you said sorry, but I don't think you meant it as you did a thorough dismantling of my most plausible possibility.

Just kidding. Great post. But I think you underestimate the wider zombie reality. Be afraid, be very afraid. You have no idea of the control i have over the hoardes:evil:

HAha

Actually... I have more bad news... maybe.

Have you read "World War Z"?

Well... the film is nothing like it. Just thought I would break the news. Mind you... it may be good.. just not the amazing documentary style reality thing it could have been. Maybe you are glad. I don't know.

I loved the book though. So realistic.

I feel the ony time we will experience real zombies here on Earth will be when the power grids go down due to a Solar storm some day and people can't use their computers, cell phones, PDAs, I-pads, etc.

That will indeed create a World of zombies until at least people get back to living without those things!
