Ok, I have recently acquired Hemi-sync Gateway CD's. I am planning on using this area as a spot to document and and re-validate any OBE's experiences that might occur or that I might experience as I move through the numerous cd's.

I am reading the book that comes with it first. I don't know what to expect. I just want a means to document it as it might be of interest to someone else.
I am not a skeptic. I have had one spontaneous OBE that was amazing but it was years ago and the experience in it's entirety has never left me.
So this is my own experiement. Like the army says -- Be all that you can be.
I was a member here many years ago and at that time did not have the tapes but have shared many conversations with Frank as I read about his ideals and experiences with phasing. So this experiment is with Frank as my silent mentor. When I got the tapes, even after all these years, Frank is the first person that crossed my mind. It will take me a day or two to read the manual and then I will get started.

Thank you! I'm very excited about it. I am going to try to do a tape a night. I am not sure if I need to do the same tape for a few nights before progressing to the next or not.....
I'll just have to play it by ear I guess.
I'll be through with round 1 of the manual tonight. Tomorrow night I start.. I am super super excited!!! I'll go back through the manual as I do things and see what I've missed. I want to do this "sound" and in order and not jump ahead.
I have also made my mind up to repeat any tape that I feel I did not quite get right. I am not sure what to expect but from what I have read so far, you have to reach a certain level on each tape in order to progress to the next one and be successful. I want to master each and every tape.
After my one truly spontaneous OBE years back, I have tried and tried following all the right books, following the rules and maybe that's why it has never happened again. I have came close to out of body, such as feeling my etheric body shift slightly but never making it out.
I have always expected it to be like before but it has never happened. Before, when it actually happened, I did not believe in OBE's at all. I was just meditating when it happened. I must have had everything exactly right. I did the roll out of my body back in forth in my bed. I remember being amazed. It was like I was two people and I had no control over the one. It was just rolling around. I heard the low droning tone in my ear. I heard a loud pop. I felt a blackness or a dark curtain quickly move very rapidly in front of my eyes.....It was like "a blackness came down and then lifted up in half a split second" and when it instantaneously raised --- I was somewhere else..... I call it the blue place. It was 360 blue and I had no body. I was just there and I was awake and I knew it. I knew instantly what had happened. It was not a dream of any sort because I was not asleep. I knew I was in a bed in my room and this thought even went through my head while I was there.
I just want to see it again.... This is my path and my quest.....

These "gateway" tapes.. are they the Monroe Institute tapes? I am trying to find which ones to buy.. I'd prefer if they were digital download rather than physical CDs though.. but can you share the link to them?
EDIT: Oh wait.. think I just found them... $499...??? Bit too rich for me.. I can barely scrape together enough to live on let alone 500 bucks for some CDs.. 18 CDs yes.. but.. yer too expensive for me :(
You really only need the first set... which is, I believe, on sale right now for $79.
It's the Wave 1 set, which is three CD's I think.
Oh.. I was looking at the description of that and it says it only works to get you to Focus 10.. not to Focus 21.. Maybe I just don't understand what is being done during the "guided meditation" sessions on the CDs..
I find "guided" works a lot better for me. I have the Pzizz Sleep app for iPod Touch, which is a guided sleep thing with Isotonic sounds and stuff.. works really well and then reinforces "good" stuff after you go to sleep etc.. but its intent is to cause you to sleep rather than to go deep into your mind but stay aware etc
Last night I finished reading the guide. Tonight I start..... These will be my first guided meditations.
I read a link that Ryan had in his profile about phasing vs obe's saying basically that they are exactly the same but just the methods are different. I'm glad I read that because I was never sure exactly what phasing was..
My husband keeps teasing me saying these are my "devil worship" tapes....omg! I hope he flies high and broadens his horizons... It will be so awesome if he does. I have not told him these might be a precursor to his own OBE. He thinks the HEMI-SYNC are for relaxation only. I am going to try to get him to keep a journal with me.
He has never meditated nor read any of my materials or tried. He has always been supportive of me however. During my meditation attempts, he has let me be and kept the house quiet. He has always told me "One of us needs to keep our feet on the ground" and that is his justification. I nearly feel like I am being deceptive but I want his mind clear and not concerned with what might or might not happen. He is a catholic and has no preconceived notions of anything regarding OBE's.
So my next entry will be right before I start and then afterwards when we both complete. I'm going to let him go first. I want us to use headphones and not just plain speakers. I have been looking around at different types of headphones. They actually have pillows with headphones built into them. (Nope, not going to buy that).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR WAVE 1 - DISCOVERY INTRO
Discovery #1: Orientation
The tools, exercises, and experiences you will discover or each tape in the Discovery album build upon the tools, exercises, and experiences of the previous tape. Indeed, each tape and album in the Gateway Experience builds upon the same features of the previous tapes and albums. The more intimate and proficient you become with each tape, the more you will be able to explore and master the next tape or album. By carefully and patiently using Discovery, you will build a solid foundation within you that will enable you to get the most out of this in-home training system. It is also recommended that you perform each exercise as instructed at least the first time you listen to it. Then, you may choose to innovate and do something else. Let your experience during the tape guide you. Stay open to change and flow with your experience. Don't force anything. If you are curious about the content of each tape, you may first listen to it objectively, over speakers.
In Discovery, repetition of tapes is advancement. Each time you listen to a tape, you become stronger, clearer, and more masterful with it. Return to basic tapes for reinforcement; doing so will deepen your experiences and is strongly recommended. Various tools are developed in Discovery to create bridging as one begins to detect and focus the strong energies we call "non-physical." These are often perceived as electrical or vibratory sensations, as well as motion, heat, or pressure. These energies can flow in Focus 10, and can, depending on your choice, influence physical reality. To use these tapes effectively, please familiarize yourself with the Tape-Taking Recommendations on page 17. The following sections refer directly to processes on this tape: Hemi-Sync Hemispheric synchronization is demonstrated in a simple way by placing a steady tone in one ear, then a different steady tone in the other ear. As these different tones are blended together in the brain, the binaural beat or wavering sound you hear is a brain-produced phenomenon created as both hemispheres act in unison. Such signals can stimulate specific states of consciousness, which are automatically learned and then can be recreated from memory. Hemispheric synchronization focuses your attention, thereby enhancing creativity and problem solving, and providing a greater awareness of your overall environment. Consider light waves as an example of the Hemi-Sync process. Radiant light sources, such as sunlight or a lamp's tungsten filament, are incoherent in that energy is produced with random timing, and focusing directs an irregular stream of photons to a specific area. In turn, the laser (light amplification by the stimulated emission of radiation) is uniquely pure (of the same wavelength) and coherent (waves are in phase or synchronized). Imagine the implications of our ability to focus consciousness using the lamp and laser metaphor: with training in consciousness, our minds have the potential to become lamps turned lasers. As a result, our abilities to learn, focus our minds, and direct our thoughts are automatically amplified. Using Hemi-Sync, the specific exercises in the Gateway Experience provide a means for laser-like focusing of human consciousness.
Volume Adjustment
Adjust the volume so that it is just within your hearing range. As you listen to the tape, your senses will become heightened, more sensitized. If the volume is too high, you may feel startled when you hear verbal instructions during different stages of the exercise. Do not readjust your headphones again during the tape. Shifts in volume of the Hemi-Sync frequencies are intentional. A high volume will not enhance the effectiveness of the FFR or masked sound patterns. In fact, it may reduce the benefits of the exercise. Surf Ocean surf-waves of natural energy in action is a symbol of the Monroe audio system: you will learn to perceive, tune, and control waves of your own natural vibrational energy. It is important to understand that you will be learning to control your energy better. As a result, you will be able to attune yourself to, or harmonize with, your environment in more varied and meaningful ways than ever before. This will enable you to establish resonance with, rather than control over, other people and nature.
Energy Conversion Box
Create in your mind a "box," a part of your personal space that, for the duration of any exercise, can be filled with all your worries and concerns, and then can be set aside, leaving you free and unencumbered. Create it in your mind, even if you don't see, hear, or feel it. Make it really yours, so it will work with you by giving you the space to detach yourself from whatever is holding you back. You may design your own box: perceive it as simple or ornate, conventional or high-tech, physical or non-physical. In other words, it may be an old, wood chest or an intricately designed marble container; it may be a vacuum cleaner or a nuclear particle collector; or it may be a lead-lined box or a sphere of light. You may also find that your box changes in size, shape, or colour as you progress. Allow it to change, and use it as a symbol of your changes and growth. Put concrete symbols of worries or distractions into your box. For example, use your billfold as a symbol for money concerns, your watch as a symbol for time concerns, or a photograph representing someone who is on your mind. Experiment. Gateway participants have discovered marvellous things to set aside: a tiny version of the physical world with themselves outside; lists of limiting words like can't, won't and isn't; anchors to both the past and the future; assumptions about both success and failure; symbols of defences resembling a series of masks. A man once spent a whole exercise trying to force his box open: he tore at it, pried, and ordered it to open, all to no avail. Baffled, he stopped and confronted his box, and in the sudden knowing of Focus 10, he realized force doesn't work, and with one gentle movement, he opened his box. You may also want to return to your box during an exercise. Place whatever you wish in your box whenever you feel like doing so.
The Gateway Affirmation
I am more than my physical body. Because I am more than physical matter, I can perceive that which is greater than the physical world. Therefore, I deeply desire to Expand, to Experience; to Know, to Understand; to Control, to Use such greater energies and energy systems as may be beneficial and constructive to me and to those who follow me. Also, I deeply desire the help and cooperation, the assistance, the understanding of those individuals whose wisdom, development, and experience are equal to or greater than my own. I ask their guidance and protection from any influence or any source that might provide me with less than my stated desires.
The Gateway Affirmation serves several purposes: It helps you focus your attention on what you want to accomplish during any exercise. It helps you focus your intent, thereby enabling you to become more aware of your expanding consciousness. It gives you permission to respond to, and work with, other energy and energy systems. Plus, it helps you stay, relaxed and open to a variety of helpful influences.
Resonant Tuning
Resonant Tuning is a breathing exercise to help you vitalize and charge your entire system. It promotes an accelerated gathering of your vibrational energy while reducing your internal dialogue. In addition to preparing you for these exercises, you may use Resonant Tuning for meditation or quieting your thoughts. What is referred to in this Guidance Manual as nonphysical energy, Robert Monroe calls second-state energy. This vital energy flows along lines of force, operating on the principle that our bodies, as well as the universe, function bilaterally, and like batteries, have a positive pole, and a negative pole. Breathing exercises are a universal method of vitalizing and recharging your "battery," moving this energy through its natural channels in and around the body, loosening knots and blockages, and correcting imbalances. Within the tape exercises, this process can manifest as sudden jerks and twitches, or even as a sensation resembling pain. Odd as it may sound, resistance increases this phenomenon. But by confronting the experience and allowing it to work itself out, you will move beyond it.
During the breathing exercises, follow the pacing on the tape to the extent that it is comfortable for you. As the Resonant Tuning chant begins on the tape, continue the same breathing pattern, vocalizing with the "aaah," "oooh," and "uuum" sounds as you exhale. Set your own rhythm, your own pace. Use the sounds on the tape only as a guide. It is important that you actually make the sounds with your physical vocal cords. You will soon grow comfortable with this process and you may notice kinaesthetic responses as your body becomes aligned with resonant energy. As you inhale, imagine an infinity of sparkling, vibrant, vital energy around you. Pull it into all parts of your body and up into your head. Since energy continues to flow, allow the energy to move and swirl gently around in your head as you hold your breath. Exhale through your lips as if you were softly blowing out a candle, releasing any tired, stale energy out through your body and the bottoms of your feet. Breathing slightly deeper than you normally would is just as effective as explosive, championship breaths. Open your eyes as you inhale, and close them as you exhale. Coordinating your eye movement with your breathing is one way to become aware of your ability to control autonomic (automatic) behaviour. Typically, eye blinking and breathing are accomplished without the slightest thought on your part. Now, however, you will plant a seed that may grow into a full realization that you can assume voluntary control over these processes. In other words, you can recognize, change, and direct habitual behaviour and reflexes. Should you relax to the extent you seem to have lost contact with everything physical, simply breathe normally and open your eyes, or move the fingers of your right hand, and your entire body will respond and return to waking, physical consciousness.
Focus 3
Focus 3 is a signpost on the way to Focus 10, a Hemi-Sync state where your brain and mind are more coherent, synchronized, and balanced. You will move to Focus 3 by a conventional count of one to three. Return to Full Waking Consciousness At the end of every tape exercise, you will hear a strong audio signal designed to bring you to a state of full, waking consciousness (C-1 ). Despite the temptation to take off your headphones early, listen to this signal until it is withdrawn. It will bring you completely "back" from the exercise. The more you bring yourself back from an exercise, the further you can go into your next exercise.
He has read the instructions and is doing it........ right now.
Hehe.. he is like the "control group" in the experiment. He hasn't really been given any intent or knowledge of what to expect. So I think it will be good for both of you in this joint journey, as when things begin to happen, you can each validate one another's experiences. Everyone's journey is a little different though.. so Focus 2 experiences may not be really compared side by side...

Ok, he said was relaxing and different. Since I have not listened to this tape at all yet, ..when I was in the back room, I kept hearing an odd sound coming from the LR. I went in there very very quietly and he was making an odd sound. When he finished and I asked him about it, and he said "the voice" had told him to make this sound. I had thought he was making an odd snoring sound. He said he got into it and gave it his all.
He is outside sitting on the porch now with this odd little look... He is very thoughtful right now. Oops, he's back inside now.
He said he is going to sit at the creek and think while I have my turn. The creek is his "thinking spot". Now my turn.

That was awesomely wonderful.. Feel a little dazed right now. I love this man's voice. Several times during the portion where nothing was spoken, I went away off in my own thoughts but when he spoke he grabbed me right back. But right now and even during the session, when I disappeared in my own thoughts, I cannot remember what they were. Even now.

I did not itch. I did not fidget. I did not feel anything physical. It was mental all the way. This was focus 3.

One other thing. I am very blind. My vision is horrible. I went outside and I swear my vision is improved. It seemed I could focus on leaves way off across the creek... The sun is going down but there is still light on top of the mountains and I noticed it.
I am, alas, also a smoker. I even noticed the smoke drifting in the air and actually watched it drifting off and curling.
I think I feel tuned. Like a car.. Does that make sense? I just feel "different"... I am not sure in what sense I even mean that but I understand my husband's need to walk. He walked way down the creek and back up. I myself just feel aware. Very aware. I am noticing things I do not normally notice.
You repeat it as many times as you can/want until you're comfortable doing it. :)
Well.. the first tape is the introduction.. you can move at your own pace.. use the first tape again if you like.. but the 2nd "tape" builds on the 1st, using the same methods and instructions from the 1st but in less detail. For example, with the "Energy Convergence Box" in the first tape, the narrator goes into detail about what you should be visualising.. it should be big enough to contain everything, be solid, have a heavy lid that will keep the things contained etc etc.. Whereas in the second tape, it will just say "Now focus on your "Energy Convergence Box" and put everything in there, do this now." and then there is a long pause while you do that. There's no detailed explanation of what you should be trying to visualise etc. It's the same with all the other parts, the 2nd tape uses those things but assumes that you are already familiar with them and doesn't waste time explaining them in detail.
So the "right time" to move on to the next one is completely individual but it would be at a point when you are comfortable with the material presented, so that when you move on to the next tape and the narrator assumes your knowledge and comfort with these techniques, you won't feel out of your depth. For example, if you have trouble visualising the box and doing the "offloading of physical matters etc", then you would not be "ready" to move on to the next tape, and so on.
I should point out that being "comfortable" with and being "master" of something is completely different though. Just because you may have had a little difficulty getting a perfect visualisation of the "box" doesn't mean aren't comfortable with and have a firm understanding of the technique. It will take practise and time to "master" the technique of course. Anyway, yer.. if you listen to the next tape, at any point during the tapes, and find that it is all a bit too much because, while you thought you were fully understanding the previous tape's techniques, you realise you are not ready for it. Just finish the tape anyway, do your best to follow along with everything. Then the next time, just go back to the previous tape. It's best not to interrupt the tapes halfway through, if you can, just so that all the loose ends are all tied up, so to speak. :D
I understand. Thanks for that wonderful explanation. I have discussed this with my husband and at this time, since he is new to this, we are going to do all tapes twice. UNLESS we just feel ready.
He is receptive to twice. And I will pace myself according to his pace. I have been meditating for years. Today was his first time.
I am burning to move ahead however and I might listen to another tape tonight after he goes to bed. And then tomorrow stay on course with him and listen to the first again... This is probably what will happen. I can't run off and leave him in some other spot on the tapes or he will quit. I told him today it probably take 3-4 months to go through them all and get a feel for all of them.
I have 48 individual lessons and if we listen to each one twice, that is 96 days if we don't miss a day. The commitment to this program is 30 minutes each day if all lessons are 30 minutes like this one. Or actually 33 minutes.
I am going to encourage him to stick with it. I want him to enjoy it. I made the living room very comfortable for him today. Put the small dogs outside, dimmed the lights, gathered his favorite pillows, etc.... I bought some wonderful incense as well but forgot about it today. Tomorrow I will light one for him.
Let me talk about the box. It is hard to visualize the box. I have not yet asked him about his own box.
Let me elaborate on something. In the past, a few times, when meditating, I can feel myself in the first person moving gently along.. And I am speaking of visualization. I know many people when they visualize their energy hands or energy body, it is in the second person so to speak, like it is not really them --but it does need to actually be them in the first person. A few times, I have felt it in the first person which is awesome. And this is what I am trying to do with the box. I don't want it to be some preconceived item that "I know" is not really there. I want to feel it in it's reality like my energy hands. Does that make sense?
The box is difficult for me. So listening to this first tape a second time will be good for me as well. Tonight when I go to bed, I will work on this box and trying to visualize it and make it real.
My box is one of those big city dumpsters with the big metal lids.. hehehehe.. I know what you mean though about wanting it to be real and what makes it real to me is when I visualise turning away from it. You know how when you are, physically, standing in a place and you know what is behind you? Like right now I am at my desk at work and my colleague is behind me, his desk, all the things on his desk, the window and all the stuff beyond the window are behind me. When I turn away from the box, I make extra effort to "sense" the box behind me just as if I was looking through my own physical eyes and sensing what I know is behind me. I find it helps if I don't just turn 180 degrees and stand there.. but also walk away from the box (in my mind of course!) a little way.. maybe towards or down a short path, knowing that it is there but also moving away from it.
However, I tend not to move too far away from it because something else I noticed when I was listening to tape 2 was that if I get an errant thought about some physical matter after I have moved beyond that stage, I can quickly chuck the thought "over my shoulder" into the box.. opening the lid with my mind quickly and stuffing the thought in there before quickly closing it again. Seems to work well.
Normally when I visualise something, I see it like I would in a dream. It is just an object either floating in nothingness, or it is on something that I am also visualising (such as my desk at home). Instead of "seeing" it with my own non-physical eyes (or from my viewpoint), in a dream (and before this) I would see it from some displaced point of view.. like when you're in a dream you can see yourself rather than looking from "within" yourself (or more correctly, "through" yourself). When I was visualising my box, I found that I had to consciously decide to "look at it" with my own mind's eyes, as if it was right in front of me. Then, when I turned away, I also concentrated on the sense of actually looking forward toward a pathway and perceiving just as if I was walking along the pathway, away from the box.
Anyway, the other point I want to make is that there is nothing that says your box can't be a little jewllery box, or a safe deposit box, or magical box with glowing energy sides and top.. whatever you interpret the narrator to mean by "box" is entirely up to you and it is your first thought/idea that is generally the "right" one for you. So if you have a box that bares no resemblance to anything from the physical world, that's fine! :) Whatever works for you, as long as you're following along with the concepts of the techniques.. a box is something you store things in.. etc
My husband has no problem with the box....... He visualizes a gun box he made that we keep in the back of the house. It is about 2' tall and 4' long with a huge lock on it. It is personal and close to his heart so I understand why he would use that.
My box, while listening to the tape, would change conceptually every single time it was mentioned in the tape. It was a floating point to me. I went from using the box shape of our wood burning stove, to a big cardboard box, to a box around 1x1 feet in size of some unk material type..... I like the idea of a dumpster however. A dumpster also symbolically represents exactly what I am supposed to be using it for as well. I think that is an excellent choice.

You know in thinking on WHY I am having trouble with the box, I think it has to do with all my prior meditative attempts. In all my meditations in the past, unguided meditations, you tend to think of "nothing" and are instructed to shut the conscious mind down and think of nothing and stop all mindless thought flow and now this box is being brought into the equation - and consciously brought in. That is different and I think that is where my difficulty is coming from. I am going to have to stop any preconceived notions or ideas I might have had or learned in the past and let the flow from these lessons be only what they are and nothing more.

I am going to do tape 2 again later. This first time I am not sure what to think. I was very distracted. I could hear the dogs outside. I was uncomfortable in how I was laying. My thoughts were jumbled. My knee kept itching. I need to do it again in a different state of mind.
It is hard to say right now. I think I will like it and if I am in the correct state of mind I think I will get to focus 10 but I did not get to focus 10. I listened all the way though because I needed to finish the tape but I KNOW I am not ready to move on. This is a repeat. I will post more when house is quiet and I have redone this tape.

To work around distracting sounds, try to visualize the sounds washing over and around you... don't allow them a chance to stick to you and distract you.
The more you practice this, the easier it'll be to ignore any sounds that occur. :)
Remember also that F10 is simply BodyAsleep/MindAwake state.. so you should still be fully aware of all your surroundings, including your body (though since its "asleep" you probably won't feel all that much).. When I first did Tape 2, I was thinking of F10 as a non-physical state but really it isn't.. it's just a step towards that.. I really need to get rid of my expectations when I do these, so I share that realisation with you. As I was getting to the end of Tape 3, today, I felt I didn't want to stop here.. I wanted to keep going further.. but then I reminded myself that this is a process and these tapes at the beginning are setting me up for the rest.. installing the programs I need to run the more exciting programs :)
I re-did tape two and I was at focus 10 both times I believe. It's just different not going further I guess...... It was much better this time. I was more relaxed and I got into it with the house quiet and also lay on the couch instead of on the chaise lounge..... I felt floaty... And I guess maybe I also was thinking focus 10 was more of a non physical sensation and maybe that was my earlier discontent with it. I want more than what I am getting. Or I want faster than what is being given to me....
I am fixing to do the third tape. It's Friday and I have time on my hands 8-). House is quiet and husband is asleep. More later...............jenn
Loved the third tape by the way. It is becoming more like I am expecting....Husband is heading to town to get a few animal items and then maybe this morning we'll do it.
I am seeing a pattern that when my tapes end that I can continue myself. This is my programming. I'm sure there will be many more but this morning as sit here thinking and reflecting on what has occured the past three days, this is what I see as a pattern so far. I will update this list as the tapes go further and as I progress.
Steps for Gateway OBE.
1) Throw away all my cares, worries and any physical matter in the box of my creation.
2) Resonate tuning by breathing in fresh white air all the way up to the top of my head and then exhaling all stale energy from my body.
3) Creating my spiral energy body balloon to contain my energy and to protect me from other external energy that is undesirable. Impenetrable unless I breach it myself willingly. (What gets me about this is that after this point, I should be able to create this circle of energy at will. I take a deep breathe and think of a circle with the number 10 inside it for focus 10, and then as I exhale, I exhale my protective circle of energy around me..awesome!!!)
So I am seeing each tape is adding a step... I must learn this well..... Today we will listen to tape three. Him for the first time and me for the second.
You know I actually think my husband might have the advantage over me regarding these tapes. He has no preconceived notions of OBE's like I do. It is all just new to him. He has no expectations but I know he is enjoying them. Yesterday when we got home, he was the one that suggested "it's time to do our tape".... I asked him yesterday if he felt anything odd at all or questioned him if he was really getting into it. And he said "YES".
I would like to point out that Juan does believe we are a creation of energy and that we can direct that energy because he SAW ME heal myself once in the hospital when I had e-coli of the bloodstream after a surgery. I had a hysterectomy and went home and had to come back as my fever spiked to 104-105. I was extremely ill and they had to readmit me. I nearly died. They determined through blood work that I had "negative gram factor T" in my blood which is e-coli. After they got my fever under control (the next day), and Juan had fell asleep by the bed, I weakly shuffled outside with my IV pole and went to our truck in the parking lot, got inside, and directed all my energy to my blood to try and heal myself. It took about 45 minutes to do and I knew when I was healed when a miracle had occurred. I was crying when it was over. It felt so miraculous. I felt my blood grow hot in my body and I could feel my veins throughout my body and I could feel the blood flow in my body. As I sat there I could feel the blood cool back to normal. I sat there in awe. I KNEW I was healed. There was no doubt what had occurred to me. When I returned to my room and told Juan I was healed, he thought I was crazy and he was livid with anger. The doctor, Juan and the nurses had been looking for me as it was time to draw my blood again and I was missing from the hospital. I laughed and told them all that I had been healed. They drew my blood and they found NOTHING. It baffled the doctors and nurses and the disease specialist they had called in. Energy CAN be directed. I am living proof. It was my intent and I'm not sure how I did it, but when I did it, I knew I was successful. I quit my antibiotics. Refused the home health that they had previously been setting up for me and never filled their prescriptions. It was not necessary and they did not understand. It was my own personal miracle. My directed flow of energy. My manipulation. My change. When it happens there is no doubt.
My little linear husband, however, is for the first time taking a ride on the side-roads that I have always visited.... And he is finally going willingly... OMG, his first OBE is going to blow him away.......!

I'm loving this thread. Watching your excitement unfold as you work through the tapes and try and hold yourself back. Your husband the skeptic getting pulled in. Great stuff.
Inspires me to go back and try the gateway experience again. I have them all but never got past wave 2(got side tracked with other stuff)
Ok blis,,,, get those tapes out!! Maybe several of us could have a joint effort and compare experiences. I think it would be awesome!!
I'm not sure if the other tapes are longer but so far it's only 30-40 minutes a day... Most people (but us) sit in front of the TV for that long every single day. Use it for gateway.... I need to clarify here. We don't do that because we decided several years ago to get rid of all TV bills. We live way out in the country and if we feel inclined, we rent a movie. We read, we swim, we walk and other other things. But tv is not one of our past-times. And now we have added Gateway to our series of "things to do on a daily basis".

I went on to Tape 4 last night and found that it had lifted the level of "assumption" much higher than I anticipated. While I have little trouble with the box, the resonant tuning, the energy bubble and getting to Focus 10.. it was the fact that I was unable to remember the full "affirmation" (ie. "I am more than my physical body. Because I am more than physical matter" and so on) that had me wondering if I'd gone too fast through the tapes. However, the third tape doesn't do the affirmation at all.. then suddenly in the 4th you have to remember it all yourself. Not that it is such a big deal I guess.. I knew the general concepts surrounding the affirmation and just made up my own to suit those concepts but it would be much better if it was the same because of consistency. So what I might do is go back to Tape 1 and 2.. do both again. From what I know, Frank Kepple used to do them 3 or 4 times a day for each tape before moving on to the next one.. at least this is how I understood what he was saying. Maybe I need to write the affirmation out a few times, so I can remember it via visualising the paper I wrote it on.. I don't know..
I'll definitely be redoing the 4th tape though, not just because of the above but also because of the technique/method presented in the 4th. I really didn't understand what I was supposed to be doing. I tried my best but now that I have had some time to think about it, I think I know what is needed and understand it a bit more. So I will try again.. I think it is a very important step because when having OBEs, you need to remain unemotional and without fear or other strong feelings.. you need to reach a point where you can deal with ANY situation with a serene and curious mind.. just an observer etc
wow, that's interesting..... I have not done tape 3 for the second time yet. We got side tracked and have been painting and remolding in the kitchen which seems to be a never ending process... We will do the tape later on. 3-4 times a day.... ok... I actually might can do that twice a day.... I have the PDF of Franks notes but have not read them in their entirety yet.... ok.
Since reading Lights post, I was compelled to go back and search through franks posts to see what he said about repeating a tape. OMG, he listened to the Introductory tape for three months, even at night with "repeat" on. He said he must have listened to it approx 300 times.
So, tonight, I am going to listen to tape 3 all night on a very low volume in the repeat mode. I have the couch all set up. That's as far as my head phones reach even with their extension cord. We use the computer to listen to the cd's as we don't have a portable player. :| But I will have one soon. :-)
Next week when we get back to town in our working mode, I am going to get some sort of portable CD player so I can listen and actually lay in the bed to listen instead of using the couch.
Franks idea is a great idea! Listen once consciously and then listen all night. Juan is absolutely adamant about NOT listening all night. He says he tosses around too much and would not be able to keep the headphones on. So now I am thinking of the pillow I saw recently that has headphones built into it. For me -- headphones will work just fine. We'll have to see how this idea plays out.
I am finally finished in the kitchen and have sat and stared at it in amazment. Looks very good. We live in a 110 year old house. It was built in 1902. A big old farmhouse so there is always something to do or something that needs fixing.
So now I begin..... The house is quiet and the timing is perfect. Tape 3.

Ok, Juan just finished and he said he wants to repeat lesson 3. He said he is having trouble keeping his stuff in the box. I told him what I had read but he really doesn't want to discuss it. But he is having box problems......like me.

We are going to be at step 3 for awhile. I absolutely cannot get through it without spacing out and losing track of time and then just coming back around with no idea what just occurred. This has happened with three conscious efforts to hear it through.
We are both repeating it today. I listened to it till 3am on the couch droning in my ears.
Yes, the first two are pretty easy to get through.. no problems at all. The 3rd, with the introduction of the Energy Bubble, did give me some trouble as I couldn't get it quite right. I was constantly re-examining what I was doing.. should I be visualising it from a displaced point of view, or from a point of view of looking through my eyes and sensing the parts I wouldn't be able to see or should I be doing both. It's not a big deal, I'm sure, but it's an observation I made when I was going through the tape: that I was constantly realigning my awareness, making it difficult to hold on to the visualisation.
Juan cut himself putting tin on the roof. It took 45 min for the paramedics to get to our remote house. He has a 9cm cut on top of his head and he sliced an artery. He lost nearly 1.5 to 2 liters of blood. He is fixing to spend his second night in the hospital. They care-flighted him off. He told me today while I had him on the ground applying pressure to his head, he was trying to throw his cares in the box to remain calm....omg.....
When he got to the hospital, his bp was 60/40.. He nearly bled to death.
I'm home changing the sheets, getting things ready for him. I think he comes home tomorrow. I'm fixing to head back to the hospital.

Good to hear he is fine. It's times like this that we are reminded of our own mortality in these physical bodies and that we need to prepare for what comes after. :-)
We are home.....two nights in the hospital. happened on sunday... He is going to be ok but weak for awhile. His hemoglobin is 7.4 this morning but they did not choose to do a blood transfusion because his blood pressure is normal today. They expect it to drop further today and tomorrow as well making him even weaker but he is on iron. They said he will be weak and possibly dizzy for quite some time and it will take "months" for his hemoglobin to get back to normal. They said because of this, he also needs to be extremely careful picking items up because he might faint.
After a few days rest, we will be back on track.

Ok..........things are good.... :-D. I am returning to work today. Juan has to stay home for a couple weeks. I will do tape three "again" tonight.......... :lol:

Every time you repeat the tapes you are moving forward. It's not like an academic course where you need to keep moving forward constantly in a linear way. With these tapes, each one has techniques and methods that can be built upon by repeating the tapes. Although there isn't a huge amount of stuff going on in the Introduction tape (#1), still it has the Energy Convergence Box stuff in detail. Tapes 2, 3 and 4 could be repeated multiple times through a week and then Tape 5 again could be repeated at length. Tape 5 is one that finishes with going to sleep. So what I might start doing is listening to tape 2, 3 or 4 during the day or afternoon and then listening to Tape 5 when I am going to bed but allowing for 20 to 30 minutes extra than I would normally allow for getting to sleep.
Just curious how things are going?
