Reading Astral Dynamics should help you along. It is a great book. There are other good books too. Always read what you can, because then you can distill what you've read into your own method.

Take a look around this forum for posts by people like Jeff Mash, who has written reliably about his obe methods and experiences. There is also a File Library here that you should examine, as well as sticky topics on obe.

Thakyou for your reply, I will go to the library and see what is there.

I tried again today, after about half an hour relaxing I felt the tingling, static energy around my body. i let this build up and began to shimmer/shake until the top part of my body felt arched round to the left (i was lying down). Then all my thoughts went to my head and my body felt as if it had turned to clay with no feeling in it at all.

I felt very small standing infront of a very large imoveable object in the dark (i've felt this before during meditating and dreaming) I tried to imagine a door infront of me which i opened but nothing came of it.

I held this for about ten mins then openend my eyes wriggled my toes and finger and came out.

Can't wait for my book to arrive!

Any thoughts?

Yes, you are nearly there.  It sounds like you're goot at meditation and relaxing.  I think you should wait until you're in more of a trance, and you're brain is in Theta (groggy/tired).. Then try an exit technique.  This works best for me before I go to bed, and when I wake up, as I am still tired at both times.

Your making excellent progress. If you have an alarm clock, set it to wake you up at about 6. Then go to bed at about 12. When you wake up, you will be really tired and in a deep state. Do your ordinary techniques from there.

When you wake up. Relax, get up. Have a drink. Do some ordinary stuff for about an hour, then go back to sleep. Then when you wake up, you should be greeted by the typical vibrations.

Wow its been a long time and I haven't any work on this till recently. I have began reading RBs book from the start again and this time round it all seems a lot clearer.

I've tried to reach the trance state half a dozen times this week, with each try i feel more tingling and vibrations as i get back into it.

Following the advice in the book I will attempt trance work everyday and focus on building up my energy in my sub navel storage centre.

Hope to see some of you people on the astral island before too long.

Has anyone received help from someone in the astral whilst trying an exit technique or is something we have to do alone?

Hello Guys

I've been trying relaxation techniques for the last few weeks now, opening my chakras, etc etc. I've read RBs Treatise on Astal Projection too. I've experienced a 'shimmering' and i've felt my body tilt so my feet have been above my head.

My last attempt just a few minutes ago gave me the feeling of my head being very large or my body being very small.

How am i doing? I still haven't been out, i've tried rope technique and imagining im floating but i just end up tensing my body.

Any ideas on the next steps I could take?
