I think I finally did it.

  I always practice right before I go to bed.
I was laying on my stomach and visualizing. I can't say what I was visualizing as it was so many things.
But eventually my consciousness shifted and I was in my room. Just floating there. But it felt so real. However my consciousness felt different from what it feels like to be in the physical or even dream. It kind of reminded me of when I used to sleep walk as a kid. But anyway, I don't remember too much as it was brief. But I remember being really calm and a feeling very accomplished. Like a YES, I did it! Feeling. It was that feeling that carried over to when I woke up this morning.

It does carry over the next day... that's what I love about it. Everybody should experience this... it would make for an interesting world.

One thing I've learned is not to try and force it. Half the time, if I can't achieve it within the first thirty minutes or so, I just try to go to sleep and then it almost always comes on it's own. The irony is that we do the same things just to fall asleep only our goal is to sleep and not to have an OOBE.

But we can't discount the benefits of purposely trying because it put the "subconscious" on notice that it has some work to do. And work it does.

Thank you! I wish I could recall more of it then just floating there and seeing my room. I see now that it's such an unmistakable feeling. Not in the physical, yet not fully asleep. I find it very relaxing and peaceful feeling. My body...not that I could see it....felt like pure energy. Almost like numb tingles. Lol! And I could feel my emotions clearly. In a full blown dream, the emotion is washed out a lot of time. The lucidity and the AH HA moment were so clear!
Eventually I was sucked into a dream. That of which I can clearly recall most of.
