Greetings Metaphysics,
Well you could start by reading the opening post by Frank in the Gateway Wave 1 pointers topic.
There is also an excellent posting by brianspuk in the Monroe experiences topic.
However, we are still piecing it all together, and I intend to write a an article about it when I can, and post it here.
The key to phasing is using the imagination to create a scenario, which leads to a phased shift to the Astral proper and true Astral experiences.
The secondary key to this is as deep a level of trance to start with as possible - that is what the hemi-sync bineural tones aim to do.
I think the imagination is the key to it - it is possible to interact with the Astral and its inhabitants, and do soul retrievals from a light trance, or even a state of relaxation alone. I have been discussing this with Bruce Moen.
One of the biggest barriers to success in phasing is belief. I don't necessarily mean "belief system" although they can be a major barrier, but belief that it can really happen. But let me stress - there is a big difference between fantasy and creative imagination. The latter is a powerful faculty of the Spirit, and a major faculty in all spheres. Using creative imagination, you are switching your mind from 3D reality to Astral reality, in a controlled manner.
Apologies if this sounds vague - hopefully it will be clearer soon. But people should not think of the Astral as a place way up there somewhere - it is here and now and all around us, and, like tuning in a radio, one simply has to tune in the Astral using the methods described. OBE is somewhat different.
there is a post titled something liek phasing questions of oobe/phasing what's the diff? both are good for a desription. one of them i found to be excellent and cleared up any questions i had.
i agree that it's very important to remember that the astral isn't up there somewhere. it's right here right on top of this dimension. part of us is already and always in it. maybe it would be more clear if you thought about where your energy body exists. it's still inside you but it's in the astral as well. it's all right here. keeping this in mind will help tremendously w/ projecting. it's only as far as you make it.
Hi Metaphysics.
As Adrian said, read the first post in "gateway pointers" on page 1 by Frank.
The scenario described is used in conjunction with a CD by the monroe institute - but I think that the phasing technique can be used without the CD.
Also, note that the person who posted the technique said that it took him 3 or 4 hundred tries over the period of a few months (when following the prompts on the CD, this means 37 minutes each time).

Hello Adrian, glad to hear that you are planning to post sort of a resume of all that has been written about the "phasing" technique.
I have read Mr Moen's 4 books and browsed through his web site.
From what I have read from his books and on his web site, the quality of the experiences are quite different. In Frank's experiences I get the impression that the astral is vividly experienced. In Mr Moen, I got the impression that it's more like a daydreaming experience, when your imagination is roaming around, so not as clear cut as what I understand from Frank's experiences.
I understand that using Mr Moen's approach, using imagination also works and proof can be gattered on the reality of the experiences. Such as in a "retrieval", where you help someone who has passed over, and take him to Focus 27. Proof of the experience can be verified on the physical, such as the name, place the person was living, date, death conditions etc...
So those experiences are real, but not as "vivid" or real as what I understand from people on this site.
Unless I'm under falses impressions.

Hi all,
I've spent ages browsing the boards looking for information on phasing, but noone seems to give a technique. Once and for all, could someone post the phasing technique here? Thanks,
C
