Title: Question about binaural beats (sorry if this is in the wrong sub-forum)
Post by: Jdeadevil on April 15, 2012, 18:22:23
Yeah, sorry if this is in the wrong place, but is a track that makes your brain go down to 0hz dangerous? I was just looking for one that would help me induce a trance state and one said it would lower to around 0

0 hz would mean you're dead... no brain activity.

If you're alive, I'd say this is close to impossible.

Anyway, the binaural itself won't magically take you to any state of mind.  It will only make it slightly easier and will assist you... *YOU* still have to do the work.

I think 0.3Hz is as low as I've heard of anything going.

Even still that's super slow. Likely to force you to sleep unless you are a very experienced meditator. I suspect you could even find yourself on the tired side post listening also until you accustom to frequencies that low.

The major danger i suspect is cathartic effects on the other side and what you do with any energy/emotions etc you might be experiencing. This will become more probable the more frequently you listen to binaurals as slow as that. Just remember if you do listen to these that what you experience must be owned by yourself

Peace.

These are delta waves, associated with deep sleep. Delta waves are classified as between 0 and 4 Hz, although a frequency of 0 Hz is technically not a wave. I don't think much below 0.5 Hz has been recorded. There is absolutely no way that a binaural entrainment audio track will kill you, unless you play it at about 200 dB!

Don't play it at 200 dB by the way......
