Title: Question, confused about AP'ing
Post by: OrionsDream on August 03, 2005, 12:52:44
Hey, I ws wondering.. well i'll start here:

For a while I thought AP'ing was just thinking 'i'm going to be in the living room' and then be there, and thats hwat I did. I'd close my eyes and i guess 'imagine' myself in the living room. I could do whatever I watned, make a bazooka, jump really hi, etc.
But I suppose that isnt AP'ing but imagination?
I could also be looking down 'at' myself.

So is this simply imagination?

I would say you were interacting with your F2oC. If you dont know what that is search for "Phasing" or go to the astral FAQ/Permanent topics forums.

I wouldnt write it off as simple "imagination". our imagination is a powerful tool and is completely underrated.

I would say that this sounds like a good mental rundown. If you try this again, imagine yourself there, engage your physical senses, and see what happens. If you practice enough sooner or later you will "phase" into the scene and actually BE THERE. Sounds like you already started the process before, finishing should be no hard task ;)

WOW!! coooool, i've heard of 'phasing' just a tiny bit even though i'm sure its been worked to death here, but i'm gonna go look it up right after i'm done this post.

I do remember tho reading one post about feeling like your at the pool on a warm summer day, walking across the concrete which makes your feet a bit uncomfortably hot, and the ticklish breeze which chills you a little. Then go onto the diving board, jump a little up and down, and then jump into the pool, feeling the cool water rush in on you, then get out and try it again.
Is this sort of what you mean? I suppose I should add in a smell and noises though, like you said the 5 senses.
But again i'll look it up.
thanks! I'll get back to this post with what i've found later today.

Hm but i can do this like on demand ez whenever...
is 'phasing' supposed to be that ez? or pheraps i'm not doing it totally right........
i read some on it and i should feel like 'i am there' without a doubt, and thats what happens lots. Especially when i 'daydream' i can 4get that 'im really day dreaming, even tho i'm still awake..

it seems like to project there should be imagination added, rather than the trance then being in your bed, imaginating to leave through some method (ie rope climbing, or just picturing vision as a fly on the wall looking at your bed)

and OrionsDream, at which point of concentration do you imagine your in in your living room?

after nerve vibrations, or after your heart chakra "activates"?

cause thats as far as ive gotten haha , the heart chakra beating
