I would like to ask a question regarding exit sensations.
Im practicing R Bruce`s method of astal projection. After the relaxation and e-raising, I go into trance as deep as I can. Then I do some e-body loosening. In most cases I do not do an exit tecnique since I don`t feel exit sensations.
Is it possible that the reason why I don`t feel the exit sensations is because I don`t do an exit tecnique? (imagine flying upwards, rope tecnique, etc)
In my opinion, exit sensations are induced by the "deep enough" trance state. Applying an exit tecnique for a period of time (imagining keeping puling the rope,...) can also help, but it is not necessary to do exit tecnique to get the exit sensations. The body loosening can also help to induce exit sensations if you are already in trance. Therefore it is not necessary to do an exit tecnique to get these sensations and exit tecnique should be used when exit sensations are already present.
Can anyone tell me if I am right in this? Thanks
If you're in deep enough trance, an exit technique should help to loosen and exit. Don't wait and expect exit sensations, just go with the flow and drop expectations - it might be a completely different sensation for you.
Also, it's easy to assume you're in deep enough trance and not be. I don't know if that's the case, but if you're not sure, you need to go deeper.
The less I try, the more results I get. Honestly, I don't do anything except listen to the ringing sound in my ears and separate with no problems.
I feel the most exit sensations when my head is separating.. then I feel a MAJOR falling sensations and throbbing heart chakra. Other then that, I get the buzzing when during separation and pressure in my head soon after lying down.
I personally think that exit techniques (if you focus too much on them - trying to 'force' yourself out of body) can take you out of your trance state or bring you strong sensations but no exit.

Some people never have 'bodily' exit sensations, like vibrations, buzzing and swaying. However, many experience things like voices, noises and astral vision (seeing through the eyelids) and don't realize these are exit sensations too.
Sometimes the projection reflex is automatic, and if you're in the right mindstate you will automatically go with it. But if it comes and you're not ready (i.e. too awake or too asleep) your conscious awareness won't go with it, and you'll have sensations but then it'll all stop.
So, IMO if you are having exit sensations of any kind, you should try an exit technique- if you're not, try it anyway, and if you feel you need to deepen the trance, go back and deepen it, and continue with the sequence. (which is what Stookie said, sort of.)
There is no reason to think that the exit technique is the end (unless you don't have the time). You can go back and try again.
So my 'official' answer is that there is no set rule for this. If you're having absolutely no symptom, but feel you are in a deep enough trance, do energy body loosening, and then try an exit tech.
But don't assume an exit is an automatic thing, because most of the time, automatic exits happen while unconscious, so you don't know you had it.
To me the exit is an unmistakable sensation of powering up of energy like a rocket and then launching out with force.
Sometimes when I focus real hard I get the sensation that I shrink to the size of a bean and the room becomes huge.
I have said it before and I'll say it again, I have the impression that many terrible exit sensations are caused by tugging into both directions, both into one's physical body and out at the same time.
