Title: Really F_cking Tired.... (Now I', f_cking proud)
Post by: magicmac2000 on September 05, 2005, 20:53:07
I still can't fu__ing believe I'm trying and trying and things seems to go backwards ... a month ago I was almost "reaching" Focus10 but now I can't feel anything close to it. It seems that I listen to WaveI without a single success. Did this happen to you ? Don't you feel sometimes that you are wasting your precious time ? Don't you think sometimes you are going crazy ?
Man !! Why am I involved on all these ? I still can't believe.

Just a discharge :)

Thanks,
MagicMac.

I feel the same way sometimes. I feel like I take 1 step forwards and 3 steps back. Don't give up.

3 years ago I would look at all the things I have experienced and die laughing.  I would say "dude, your F'in nuts!!" and pass it off as schizophrenia.  2 years ago I would look at my experiences and go "GOD!!!! I wish that would happen to me, I have been trying for a month now with nothing to show!"  A year ago I would have thought "its coming... maybe.... gotta keep trying."  You get the idea.  You just hit a point where things explode open and you go "this is what I have been waiting for".  Trust me, its coming.

Thanks Time and knightlight :). I was needing exactly that: a little support on this :)
A few days ago I decided to quit smoking. When that happens, during the first week of "abstinence" I wake up over 5 times per night. So I thought: "Great, now I have at least 5 more chances each day to practice AP"... still nothing :) It's so frustrating sometimes.
But I'll take you advice and keep walking.

Thanks a lot guys,
Magic.

I've been trying for 10 years and have only now started to have decent results. And they are still few and far between. If I have to keep trying the rest of my life... oh well. Don't get frustrated (of course quitting smoking can make that tough). Maybe take a week or 2 off and try again. I used to get extremely frustrated and now I realize that it did nothing but hold me back. Keep an open mind on what can happen and don't try to force anything.

Good Luck! (expecially with that whole Abstinence thing)

Thanks a lot, Stookie    I'll keep working on these things :) Including the "Abstinence thing"
It's not easy at all.

Thanks again, you are always nice with your responses :)

Thanks, tryingOBE. The problem I'm having is that I feel I'm going backwards    When I do the Wave I exercise, I simply fall asleep !! Then, I wake up at the end of the tape.
Also, when I try to do the "Noticing Exercise" I simply can't concentrate in one damn thought ... No control at all, and I fall asleep. It's a feel like I'm losing my chances to project and I fall asleep.
Anyway, I had two spontaneous projections a few months ago, so I know there's "something" out there... But I can't reproduce that.
I'll keep trying ...

magicmac2000,

Something you might want to try (if you haven't) is going back to the 1st track, focus 3. Since it's a lighter state of consciousness, you will have less chance of falling asleep. Then when you do that enough without passing out, move back up to focus 10. I think that getting proficient with these states is more important than an OBE for beginners, such as myself.

..? Mp3's? Tapes? I'm intrigued.

Me ? MP3s and Wavs. And yes, the MP3 works no matter what they say.

This is the reason you have stopped progressing: You expect too much of yourself.

A little while ago I realised something. The success stories of people I have read usually involve the line, "Once I started to give up... it came to me." I realised there are two types of people in this case.

First, there are those used to mediocrity. When they fail, they say "Oh well, I guess this is as good as it gets. I'll enjoy it for what I got." In life, they enjoy mediocrity. Conciously, they found the key to complete focus away from C1.

Secondly, there are those who set a goal, and never give up. If they don't reach a certain goal after a certain time, they try harder. In life, they succeed with the best results. Conciously, they are blocked.

My epiphany on this, is that you're not supposed to set goals. Don't try to get anywhere. Trying makes it worse. Almost ingenious since our society is built on goals and hard work. Keeps out the riff raff.

So the answer to your 'mental block' is to do what you know. Enjoy what you can, and don't think about the next step. I sat in focus 10 last night and loved it because I was flat as a pancake. Trust me, once you learn to enjoy what you have, the rest will basically fall in your lap.

Magicmac2000,

I know how you feel about not being able to project. I'm complaining because I've had two things happen in the last two weeks. 1st week- Went on Vacation 2nd Week. I have a pinched nerve in my spin area. So the first week wasn't all that bad, but I really wanted to project while I was on vacation, but didn't. I've been projecting for the last 17yrs on/off and the last four months came back to it whole hearted. The experiences have been beautiful and I'm tough on myself with conditioning.

Here are some past posts of mine that might help you out.

You need to hang in there, research the different methods and make this your life ambition. Sometimes, you just need to relax and let the experience happen for you. I have found that out many times by accident that I was trying to hard.

I do have to disagree with Stevo on goal setting. This is not to say who's right or wrong. In astral projecting/phasing its preference, but personally without setting goals/intent the fire isn't there to ignite.

Hope this helps...

Tvos

Stevo, thanks a lot for your response. I think you are right about I'm expecting too much ... I mean, I'm really wanna experience a Focus10 and I seem to be saying to myself: "Focus10 ASAP" ... Sure, that's not the way to achieve it, but it's stronger than me   ... anyway, I'm trying to calm down and relax in order to enjoy the process. Thanks a lot!
About the Goal oriented, I agree with TVOS. If I don't even set a goal or an intent, how in the world I will experience an OBE ? I had two spontaneous OBEs in the last 3 months. The first one was incredible: I was washing my hands before going to bed, and suddenly I've looked to myself in the mirror and said: "Today I'll project". That night I've tried to project -as always- without success. But while sleeping, I woke up because of the heavy vibes and boooom!! projected...
Bottom line: goals are useful. Trust me :)

TVOS, thank you for the links and your advice. I won't stop. It's just that sometimes I feel so frustrated, I'm putting between moderate to a lot of effort in order to achieve it, but sometimes I think: "...OK, at least gimme another Spontaneous one... it was so nice and so short !!"

Thanks a lot guys, your responses are helpful and they gimme hope :)

Magic.

Magicmac2000,

I hear ya and understand where you're coming from. Here's almost a sure way of projecting, but there's a cost....

Set your alarm clock to go off every 1/2 hr for 8hrs straight. One way or another (on your mind) you will get into a habit of turning that alarm clock going off, you having to turn it off and the cycle repeats. What happens here is that after awhile you get so tired of the cycle and can easily slip into a false awakening or projecting. The whole key here is to trick the consciousness and have the intent on the protocol for the cycle.

I am going to try this tonight and will report back. I can feel the projection coming on... its weird, I can sense and feel it stirr......

Thanks a lot guys for your advices and support :) Now I'm back on track. The solution ? Reading this post and practice, patience, practice, patience and practice, patience. Magically after trying and trying, I've started to "feel" the deep sensations of Focus10 (?). Never mind, I really don't know if I'm reaching Focus10 or not but the feeling of being on the right track is back with me. I can relax very fast, and after 10/15 minutes I start feeling the sensations associated with Focus10. I don't think I'm at Focus10 because everybody say that "When you are in Focus10, you will know it..."  I don't feel "I know it", but I don't care  :P.
Thanks A LOT to you guys, for your support and advices and for anyone here with the same problem, I can say that if you practice without going crazy if you don't see results, you will finally see'em. I was in the same place for three weeks, but fortunately I kept going, and with a little patience, and a lot of help from these guys, I finally took off.

Tvos, did u test out what you say in your last post ?

Thanks a lot,
Magic.

Hell yeah! That's the attitude to have. It's a slow process for most and can get frustrating, but the frustration exists out of strong desire to OBE. So I say that anyone that gets frustrated is really on the right path. Just needs a little different perspective.

So, can anyone who is excessively overtired project almost at whim? That would explain me doing it so easily.
