For the past 2 years since a near death experience, I've seen insane swirly colors, trace marks, and glowing around people, objects, and basically everything I look at. Lets say someone moves their hand, I'll see every movement of their hand in different colors. Lets say I stare at a plant and look away, I'll see an imprint of the plant where I look. Around everything I see a faint pulsing and glowing white light and only changes colors when people or objects move. I thought at first it would go away and was just from brain damage or something, but 2 years later, I STILL am seeing these colors. No one can diagnose me :l And it never.... ever... stops...
So I'm wondering, do you guys think I'm seeing energy/auras, or is my vision seriously messed up? Lol
I drew a quick paint of what it looks like:

Does any one know about auras, and if what I'm seeing is anything like it? K thanks :)
I have it a bit, a white or purple glow around someone. More so when I close my eyes and see purple or gold like energy swirling around.
Happened more after meditation and trying nn-dmt.
That's pretty interesting, I see swirling colors when I close my eyes as well, and everything I look at, when I blink i see an "imprint" of what I saw, and usually more vibrant, against "blackness" where as when my eyes are open its more like slightly transparent colors that pulsate around people and objects. I see swirling colors when my eyes are open too. When you see the lining around people, does it ever change color? does background effect it? Do you see any swirling colors when your eyes are open? And what's nn-dmt?
Usually I see them in rainbow tones, greens and oranges are most common. I see it more if I concentrate on the colors or in bright light/against the sky or a white wall, when the lighting is dimmer and I'm trying to ignore it the colors are much fainter. Hm... I do meditate occasionally, but even if I haven't the colors don't really go away.

Yes with my eyes open they start when I stare at something for a minute or so.
I usually see these colors immediately. The reason being, I trained myself to. If you stare at something for too long, auras can easily be mistaken for afterimages.
Amazing, I might try that to. What are the benefits of doing it? Is it a waste of time? Perhaps it is fun. It is like it is magical.
Hehe. I wouldn't call it "magic". After all, there IS a science behind it. The benefits are... you are advancing your own physical body. You are training yourself to use what you already have. You already have the ability to see whatever you want, you just have to train yourself how to.
Thanks for that. I will try it.
There was a period when I was younger when I would try to see auras but I don't think I really went that far. I was probably stuck with afterimages.
What was your method of training yourself to see these thing AAAAAA?

I guess I kind of "unlocked" it. It's just like learning to use your third eye. You already have it, you just have to figure out how to use it. It helps to make your eyes a little bit more sensitive to light. I also had a little help from a friend. I learned how to do a lot of stuff in the astral. I have teachers there.
Another helpful tip might be to meditate more, and also do som energy work. That's what really helped me to train my eyes. I found that energy work makes things like this a lot easier on you.

Yes I am supposed to be experimenting with energy work for a while, I can get the vibrational stage quite easily but I'm guilty of getting lazy with it... Learning life skills in the astral has to be wonderful.

You're supposed to be...?

Yes I made that compromise with myself because I've seen the personal difference it makes in a day or two of dedication and the it's not really all that hard. The people from "consciencology and projeciology" claim that it helps with basically everything including obe and devoloping psychic habilities overtime but of course I'm not completely taking their word for it so since it's pretty doable and even pleasent I decided I would consistently experiment with it for a while.
Y'know what is the most basic way to improve things such as aura viewing, psychic abilities and projection?
Becoming a better person.
Treating all those around you with kindness.
Increasing the quality of your consciousness.
This has the side benefit of spontaneously bringing out these abilities. :)

Humm do you think it brings about that development more often than not, something beyond the margins? Because not being something necessary and not always useful for evolution I don't immediatly make that connection. Also a lot of grown up loving people don't really report these things, but that might be just it
they don't report it. So you may be right.
Have you personally experienced a more or less spontaneous development of psychic abilities as a result of your personal growth?
It really sounds to me like an issue with a damaged thalamus or angular gyrus in your brain. One of the known effects of hallucinogens that produce visual artifacts like those is to disrupt regions like that act as "switching stations" for sensory data to be transferred to other places in the brain. There may be a more metaphysical explanation, but the way you describe it as a motion blur effect really says brain issue to me.
It isn't really a blurr, as much a colored imprint. Most people who can see auras also report seeing imprints when they look elsewhere, or close their eyes.
Also now I have observed the glows changing color with peoples mood.
I also noticed greyish glowing around people who are ill or depressed.
I looked it up comfirming grey usually corresponds with sickness in the aura. It was an "ah hah!" Moment.
Im wondering more and more if maybe it isnt damage.
But regardless I agree with Xanth. Being a good person is just beneficial generally. Why else would it be called "good"? Lol

I think if they see imprints when they look elsewhere, it's an afterimage, lol. And I also second your question. But I also want to ask you another question, I don't understand why people are even classified as "good" or "bad". There is no such thing. "Good" and "Bad" are but opinions. So how does one define "good" in a way that everyone can understand?
QuoteThere is no such thing. "Good" and "Bad" are but opinions. So how does one define "good" in a way that everyone can understand?
That is indeed no small undertaking. Plato tried once, and scholars of ancient Greek still haven't settled what he even meant, although he seemed to define it by relating it to justice, where everyone got what they deserved and everyone did what they did best. Yeah... I know, not very helpful.
If I wanted to jump down the well and make an attempt, I might say something like, "The good is what is beneficial, and the greater good, is what is most beneficial to the most parties." Of course, now we have only shifted the burden of explanation from the good to needing to explain what the beneficial is now, by so defining it. We could give it another round, and define benefit by yet another term, but I think you see how this is going. The chain doesn't end until it anchors onto a word which everyone recognizes to describe something of unquestioned value, but does a concept like that exist? Aristotle tried to end the chain with his term "happiness", stating that everyone knew it, so everyone knew its value. Maybe that is enough for some, but not others.
Regardless of the words we use to describe good hearted mature people I can't see that being the only or the main factor to devoleping psi abilities. If it was so I believe our paradigm would have already shifted quite a bit. Besides... There's a lot of people who that don't have good intentions at all and still manage to become quite able with the paranormal. Africa is a continent with a great history of using psi forces to harm other people, more often than not these aren't "good" people by any standarts, not yet.

Sadly, I think "intent" or "desire" might be a stronger catalyst for developing such abilities... and things such as a strong prior belief that they are possible goes a long way.

I didn't say it was the only way to gain these abilities. I'm saying it's the best, most direct way. Most people who follow a path of hate will never realize this.
You can certainly be the biggest jerks in the world and do these things, but the fastest means is this manner.
To steal a star wars concept... The light will always be able to destroy the dark. You'll always gain more power through love than you will through hate.

Someone also said that in the end everything will be alright and if it isn't you have not yet reached the end.
I certainly agree that cultivating your awareness or at least figuring out how to allow it to flow with a good intent is more powerful and efficient than doing it with destructive intentions. But that is still a belief because I don't have personal knowledge beyond reasonable doubt that reality systematically works this way, especially in this regard. I can only trust my intuition and faith in evolution.
What logic easily tells me is that these things do not consistently come out of thin air just because your heart matures. My point being it's not either a path of hate or a path of love and you're done for the day, there's also a path of knowledge which I believe we're all in, a path of cultivating awareness in many different ways. Wouldn't you agree?
Hence the importance of experimenting with different things, we can't immediatly assume that we're right and they're wrong.
Then it raises the question, "What is knowledge?"
and, "What motivates one to peruse knowledge?"
and, "What gain is there in knowledge?"
A motivation of self-interest has succeeded men in terms of financial and material gain, and the new founding of technological break through. correct?
But, these things two have drove human-kind farther apart. In the sense now a human will use and discard another for finical means. humans are less like to interact real-time than through technology. people will spend their whole lives trying to own the best things, to never be satisfied. isn't it so?
Has this at all made our society more functional?
A motivation in interest of well fair for others, now, if we all were drove by this intention... How would we treat each other?
How does knowledge serve our well-being?
Just some food for thought... Much love♥
Drakoreo if you know nothing, you can do very little. You're ineffective because knowledge is power for good and for bad, use your love and good heart to try learn the best you can and become able to efficiently help yourself and others. Of course I don't think you need psychic abilities to play a good part on the world, you do it from interaction to interaction, which I feel truly is what's most important. We just started out discussing a different thing. :-)
Yeah, I see where you are coming from, that does make sense, thank you for sharing :). Do you mind if I go off on a thought quick? XD
knowledge seems to be a tricky thing, sometimes when I think I know something for sure, it turns out I didn't know anything at all. I use to be so certain there was no such thing as a soul and I had my own very logical reasoning to back it up, now through new expiriences, I am not sure. Maybe there is a freedom in not knowing things for sure. Some hurtful beliefs systems are similar to this and harmful, such as, "God hates gays because it's against nature" for example. People have been killed and refused marriage rights, in Russia gays are being kidnapped and tortured to confess and go to prision. From a sane perspective, that is clearly irrational to treat any human un equally or poorly, right? But what about those who think they know what is real and not real? What is moral and not moral? Correct and incorrect? How can there ever be certainty? At the time something may seem like the right thing to do, but it could not be. Just because I can see sonething, or have a reason to back it, doesn't mean what I see is what is. Or my reason is valid. I could have a complex or very simple reason and even that can't be verified as good enough to verify sonething else. Then how can you verify even your rationality of verifying something? Does that make sense? We can observe something and all make different theories to its nature, we can even pick it apart atom by atom and still never be entirely certain our observation is correct, right?
So I'm not even entirely certain as to the nature of knowledge. If you go deep enough it erases certainty to the 'apparent' nature of most things. What are your thoughts? The only thing that ever verifies a damn thing for me, in my own exstitence is, "Love is the root of truth." In my life that works for me, and maybe doesn't for all people. But usually whenever I feel unsure or uncertain if something is true or false I ask myself, "is it rooted in love?" And even if it is not true, if its rooted in love, well, if i'm going to go about following something irrational, at least it isnt rooted in hate, eh? ;)
So what are your thoughts? Sorry for going so off topic xD
