Title: separation
Post by: soul_reaper on March 24, 2011, 02:45:51
guys i need help in separation techniques
i have tried rolling out method and getting up method
in rolling out i felt strong pull around chest area  and in getting up method i felt strong pull on all parts....it was like i am getting sucked lol
and there was a bit pain too in getting up......though it vanished when i got back in body
so if you know any separation technique......which is easy and will give less resistance in separation......pls share
it would be best if i dont need to separate and i can directly project my astral body somewhere else

I saw this video yesterday night

There he gives some technique where you move your hand up and down. (around 9 minute in the vid)
Might work, idk :o

Indirect...
Can't really argue with that.  It is MUCH easier to learn to projection through what he calls "indirect techniques".

Let me say this.  Exit-techniques are done after the initial separation.

The initial separation seems to occur naturally at a certain point in the exercise and can be facilitated with your mind by "willing" or "intending" for your consciousness to rise above your body.  It's kind of like a willful mental push or pull upwards.  You may even feel a tingle or slight buzz as this part happens (and it often comes right after a short period of flickering consciousness in which you feel like you're going from waking to sleeping and back rapidly over the course of a few seconds).

Once that part has happened, THEN you use exit techniques such as rolling out or sitting up or something.

Or you can do what Xanth crams down all of our throats and try phasing.  Phasing is a visually based technique that essentially allows you to move fully into a meditative visualization which then transforms into the OOB environment.  It's certainly a much less "shocking" separation because there is no real separation to speak of.  One moment you're here, the next moment you're there.

I don't necessarily disagree with that decision either.  But sometimes I just feel compelled to try to help.

Ultimately though, I think experience is the only true teacher.

Feels like I get sucked out too. Right around the area of my lower sternum. I can't fully separate either though.
