according to bruce, is f10 the state which u use the exit technique from?

i suppose monroe depended on going to deeper levels and then projecting right??? so...whats the ideal state to try exit tech...

and what f-level is the hypnagonic state? (still f10???)

I think F10 is the hypnagogic state.

In order to project you will need to go deeper, into Focus 12, that is when you "unhook" from the physical and phase into the "second body," meaning the energy/etheric body...

At that point, if you manage to remain aware, you will have astral sight, hearing, etc... It is an extremely profound state of being that allows you to do a lot, including to "project" your consciousness into a separate vehicle and move around on the etheric plane.

Who's Bruce? Do you mean Robert Bruce? He doesn't speak of focus levels, only varying depths in trance which aren't clearly defined...

In any case, exit techniques are simply elaborate ways to fall asleep. When you fall asleep normally, you start seeing images and drift into a dream state right at the beginning of sleep. This is when you shift into the "dream mind" and your physical consciousness "shuts down" (you go unconscious for the night).

The point of exit techniques is to avoid subconscious pollution by correctly expressing your intentions -- you are not going into some dream world, but to a physical location, using your imagination to trigger the unhooking from the physical and the projection into the "real time zone."

The ideal state for exit techniques is therefore when you are wide awake... You start out by relaxing, then focus on the technique itself, and you let your subconscious "take over" and cross your fingers...

Very few people have been able to document how to correctly pick where you're shifting your consciousness... A lot of it is still left to luck, and that's why conscious-exit techniques are a real hit-or-miss kind of deal, where it can take one to a hundred tries before it "works..."

F10 in my experience is generally a light to full trance state. This can range from being deeply relaxed and having body sensation awareness, to having little or no body awareness yet a focused mind. I think F10 is a good starting ground for projection, although projecting straight from F10 might be difficult (unless one is in deep trance).

I'm not sure the hypnogogic state corresponds exactly to any F-Level. If I had to state which focus level consistently gives me free flowing hypnogogic images, then it would be F12. F10 can contain hypnogogics, but it's generally stuff like swirling colours (caused by activity still in the eye) and very occasionally hypnogogic scenarios. F12 for me feels like I'm expanded, and I get a lot of hypnogogic images.

But, I also get hypnogogics in states which 'feel' nothing like F12 to me, such as during meditation, or when deeply relaxed.

I've never been able to project properly from focus 10. It is deep in stage 1 sleep, I personally need to go much deeper to get results.

This of course is an individual question.

I would label focus 21 as the hypnagonic state, this is how I percieve it. And I absolutly need to go this deep to project.

So in my opinion delta sleep, is the best state for employing an exit technique.
The mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art, and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are dimmed.

I find it much easier to phase from focus 10 (which I guess brings you to F12?) than a traditional OBE with vibes. It's fairly instant. I've phased from F10 several times.

I get to the swirley colors that Mr. Jingo talks about, and then start doing a run-down.

so now I know what those colors are. I always loved those little swirly colors. Blue... Red... Green... Blue... Blue.. and Blue.

I can get to f10, 'live in my head' and I've managed to reach that 2D feel someone mentioned, but then I notice my breathing and im aware of my airways/body again.    all I have to do is find out how to live without air and I could do it easy.. is there a meditation technique for NOT being aware of your breathing?
