Title: Shifting Consciousness after a lucid experience vs conscious exit
Post by: Xanth on February 18, 2011, 16:50:11
I'm trying to ascertain why it's so easy to shift back into the non-physical after coming out of a lucid or astral experience while managing to keep my eyes closed and my body still (I think some people refer to this as a DEILD?)... and I was trying to compare it to when I attempt a conscious exit to see if I can figure out where I'm lacking in the "conscious exit" department.  The shift from this post-non-physical-experience state generally takes me only a few seconds to shift back into the non-physical.

I'm trying to figure out how to duplicate that state of consciousness in my conscious exit phasing practices.

What I can come up with so far is that coming out of the non-physical in my "eyes closed/body still" state, leaves me in what feels like a deep Focus 12... or perhaps Focus 21 as I generally experience the 3D blackness at that point, but I'm not exactly sure.  I guess the big difference is that my physical body is FULLY relaxed when compared to a conscious exit where I guess I'm not FULLY relaxed and need to release some tension in certain areas.

Any thoughts?

I think it's because of your brainwave frequency.  When you're working on a conscious projection you are going from waking to trance to theta to delta, and keeping your alpha consciousness as you shift your focus, while when you wake and stay quiet, you're already in delta going back to theta, etc, so it's easier to shift back- less 'far' to go, and you have the benefit of having slept, so you don't have the tendency to pass out.
Or so I think.

So... to apply this to my conscious exit practices, I'd have to try to attain that same delta state.  Hmmm...

Thanks!  :)
