Mystified Projections

Mystified Projections are when an individual is not projecting but thinks a projection is occurring. This is common in first time projectors and individuals whose experience is limited. This is one of the biggest walls between a projector and his goal of being able to project at will and is a difficult thing to overcome.

The main reason this is a barrier is because of the questionable feel of going out of body. Projecting feels very unknown and uncommon to most people even though every individual has the ability to learn to do so. Throughout history people have been projecting through various means and even more varying reasons, most of the practice hidden from the common eye because of big frowns from religious organizations.

Because of the unknown factor to this type of practice a type of wall is developed barring the known from the unknown. The barrier is partially formed because of the workings of the mind on not knowing what is on "the other side." To counter this an intense study of the subject of various forms and practices of projection should help ease the worry of the would-be projector and hopefully hype him or her into trying harder than before.

The second reason Mystified Projection occurs is the fact that the mind has such a large and powerful imagination that it can re-create experiences. Sometimes the experiences can feel "realer than real," and leave a person confused as to why. In this field of practice, this factor is increased tenfold because of the trance or "higher focused" state.

There are a few individuals who do not encounter the above problem, however they are so rare that most will not hear of or encounter someone who has not had problems with this in their lifetime. Most people can counter the imagination by pairing up with someone in training. Critical care is needed to make sure that discussion and the relating of experiences do not become dogmatic or non-critical. A single individual can also project to places they have never seen and then later take a look with their physical eyes to make sure they were right, keeping in mind that in projection some things are different than what they appear as through physical eyes. Repeated practice of the above should bring about confidence and experience thus fixing the problem of going into a Mystified Projection over time.

A third reason failed projections occur is because of the fluidity of the Astral. The Astral is a realm where experiences and viewpoints vary according to the individual. An example of this is viewing the Astral flora and fauna. One individual might see a large and interesting looking dragon, while another might see the same spirit as a large and very interesting flying snake. While in this case the difference seems very small, there are occurrences where the difference is quite large in manifestation. A first time projector will be left very confused and wondering what is going on, thus leading to doubt and fear. The key is to recognize the atmosphere and intent behind the image. In the above example both individuals saw something that was very interesting and reptile-like in nature and essence.

A good counter to the above problem would be to discuss with any training partners you might have the essence behind what is seen more so than what appears to be physical appearance. Like minds will often see the same thing in the same way, and some spirits will appear the same to all projectors, but this will not always be the case. An individual projector will find it to their benefit to explore what is considered to be the real time zone or physical plane before moving on to the more fluid astral planes.
