Can you describe the exact nature of your sleep paralysis?

The trick for projecting from sleep paralysis is to do deep breaths until you separate. Others on the pulse have reported this works very well for them also.

I only assume that it is sleep paralysis, simply because I am concious that my body is asleep, and I cannot move.  They last about 10 seconds, so my thoughts are all towards keeping the paralysis and trying to escape.  I'm always calm during the paralysis, lying there trying to project.

I'll try the breathing technique tonight, and I'll report back in tomorrow (that is, if I even notice sleep paralysis).

Hi guys, i am new to this, but perhaps you can help.

A while ago, i was asleep and when i woke up, my eyes dint open but i was definatley awake, i swear i was at about a 30 degree angle, with my head detached and my feet on the ground, i remeber feeling extremely frightned, but i dont know why, i mean my heart was really going, so i there was a loud humming in my ears, after about 5-6 seconds, i was back on the ground (how weird does that sound) but i couldnt move myslef, well not totally, my body felt extremely heavy and was almost impossible to move at all, apart from maybe curling my fingers a little

What was this, (the gateway to an OBE maybe and why was i so scared?)

could have been sleep paralisis, but i had a similer experience when i just woke up into trance and it felt like i was standing up :S but i think i was able to move if i wanted too... so im not sure. lol i'm not an expert quite yet[:D]..

anyways, my question was.. if you you are in sleep paralisis, and you're dreaming about it happening to you, or it's happening to you in a lucid dream, is that still SP? dont you have to be fully concious and be in trance or somthing? and if it is in a dream, can you still project as easily? sorry if it's a little off topic, im too lazy to start a topic of my own[:P]

Hey guys,

I just woke up from a nap, and I went through sleep paralysis SO many times in that one hour.  Sadly though, I didn't project.  5 minutes ago I had the strongest vibe within the hour, and I tried reaching up but with no luck at all, and I tried opening my eyes hoping to see energy, but with no luck at all...

Therein lies my problem, I always find myself in sleep paralysis, but I can never follow through to a full projectiong...help!
