Star Field = Fz?

Anyone else see a star field when they're attempting to project or meditate?

I've always heard about this "star field"... but I never really understood what it meant, until now.

For those not knowing what I'm talking about, read here: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/hey_frank_got_a_fz_question-t19514.0.html

Well, last night, my allergies were going quite haywire... so I was all hopped up on Benedryl.
That crap makes you quite drowsey.  So anyways, I was sitting down kind of zoning out into nothing.  I was, literally, thinking about absolutely nothing.
It just felt good having my eyes closed and sitting there... so I guess you could say I was meditating unknowingly. LoL

And something happened, which I've had happen many times in the past, but I never really gave it a second thought.
For a second, a star field appeared in front of my eyes and it started moving towards me, or I was moving towards it (I'm not clear which it is yet)... but then my physical eyes got wind of this and I came to.  This has actually happened a lot to me over the last many years.

My reasoning behind what it is... is that it's the Fz, as Frank says, the border between Focus 2 and Focus 3.
The "rundowns" we do are designed to take you into Focus 2 as you're priming your mind to have a thought in it... if you skip the "rundown" part and just go into it with no thoughts whatsoever, you skip over Focus 2 and go straight to the borderland, Fz.

I'm not sure if I'm being clear enough.  LOL
Anyways, anyone else get this?

*hunts witches!*  :D

Now, back to my regularly scheduled post... ;)

Anyone?

Bacterio

I don't like to post replies to Trolls...but anyway...It happened to me twice one night but only briefly because I was surprised. It was before I read anything about the stars field...later I have tried to no avail. I am not sure what is this, but if is 3D is "interesting". It happened to me in similar situation as you, I was drowsie and tired and not pretending to phase or meditate, just quieting my mind in sweet drowsiness.

I don't like the idea of borderlands, that borderland has to be another focus, however it does remind me of in the matrix when neo was stuck in that train station place that was in between. To me it's like saying f2 is the borderland between f1 and f3.

oh, sorry, if it's someone not in this thread then that's the exact reason why I asked as I wasn't sure if you were actually serious or not. Otherwise personalityreality and Xanth know each other and mess around sometimes so I wouldn't take what they say to each other literally.

yes, disregard anything that I say to Xanth that seems random, obscure, trivial, mean, irrelevant, etc.
be awesome.

I get the star field a lot.  I got something like it this morning, and your post just reminded me of it.  However, it was different than other times.

How was it different this time, CFT?

Undertones

I see something like this when I sit and clear my mind. It is in the begining of my phasing attempts. Because I have meditated quite strongly on and off over the years, it's kind of easy for me to "sit back" in the darkness of closed eyes and just let my conciousness hover there - no thoughts of any matter and just enjoying the chill out.

I see yellowish patterns that are different from the regular patterns of light play that happen when noticing the back of my eyes. This is like...well, kind of like dull yellow popcorn exploding around me. Doesn't look like stars persay. That would be crisp and clear. Is this popcorny (ha-ha...I said corny) effect what people are referring to as F2?

Xanth

I'm just re-reading Ultimate Journeys... and I just came across a paragraph:

QuoteShift the phasing more . . . only blackness, deep
blackness . . . blackness with texture . . . a slight shift
more and there they are . . . millions of tiny flashes of light
moving in rite of passage in two directions . . . flowing inward
toward and outward from where I have just emerged,
each a human mind-consciousness in transit, inward for a
fresh start of a new experience in physical life . . . outward
to a predetermined sanctuary or a belief-driven illusion . . .

That sounds awfully a lot like the Star Field I've seen...
Anyone else care to comment?

What happened to me last night was a falling star field...It was like falling stars from above, but I spoiled it to quickly (as usual)...at least is something.

Whenever I've experienced it... I *could* probably describe the stars as "falling".
There is definitely "movement"... but they're all moving in the same direction, generally from the upper left to the bottom right of my field of view.
The "star field" is generally comprised of small points of light about 1/4" to 1/3" apart.  MANY stars.

CFTraveler

I have various ways of experiencing it- sometimes the stars are stationary (like regular stars, twinkly but not moving) - then I've had the ones where some are moving, some are not, (as if some were not really stars, but something with self-movement) and I've also seen the combo of fixed plus 'freefalling' stars.

And of course the latest one which was the weirdest, which seemed as part of an object, not a 'true' star field.

Hi Xanth

I think I have had the beginnings of this - it only happens sometimes. Complete blackness with stars all around. The first time it was red sparkles but that has only happened once, and now its usually white stars. None of the times they are moving though

Having read Franks theory it kinds makes sense to me that its the FZ zone - between F2/F3

The only thing is that at the Fz point, you're *already* out of body.
So it's sounding more like a Focus 12 phenomenon to me now.

Hmm is focus 12 from Monroe? I am yet to read those books yet - however they arrived this morning! :-D

xxSaffronxx

BTW - i love franks theory. Makes much more sense!! I will be reading Monroe books this evening  :-D

Xanth

Yes, Focus 12 is the "Monroe model".

Franks Phasing Model "encompasses" the Monroe Model.

QuoteMonroe's Focus C1 = my Focus 1
Monroe Focus 3, 10, 12, 15 & 21 = my Focus 2
Monroe Focus 23, 24, 25, 26 & 27 = my Focus 3
Here the comparison ends, as my Focus 4 has no Monroe counterpart.

That should explain it a bit more.
That's taken directly from Franks Phasing Resource compiled by Gandalf.

Frank just took Robert Monroe's model and grouped his Focus levels more intuitively as per how they felt and the level of conscious control you have.

Focus 1 - Physical reality AND RTZ
Focus 2 - Subconscious, you have ultimate, immediate control on you and your surroundings, fully subjective.
Focus 3 - Transition Areas, you can create here, but it requires more effort than in Focus 2.  This is, for the most part, an objective experience of a subjective nature though.
Focus 4 - .... hell if I know.  A collective subject consciousness?

So should you try to move your body at that point then do u reckon? i worry about trying to move too soon and end up moving my physical body - is there a knack to how you should move?
