Hey guys, so I've had two experiences within the past week where I believe I projected in the RTZ. I've been practicing for the past 6-8 months or so and it seems like I'm finally getting some results? I hope you guys can chime in and help me work out some of the kinks that I have encountered.

My 1st experience occurred last week where I meditated for a good 1-2 hours before going to bed. What I usually do is relax my body and try the noticing/phasing exercise outlined by Xanth/Frank/Gandalf while listening to the TMI Hemisync tapes. So I did that for about an hour without much results and decided to pass out on my right side. As I was going to sleep I told myself I'll remain aware and tried my best to observe myself go to sleep. Suddenly, I found my self "waking up" and it felt like I was sinking into my bed. I had vision, where I could see my right arm laying in bed. I heard a high-pitched ringing in my ears and my entire body felt like it was vibrating. I tried to remain calm and move forward, but as I did I could feel the vibrations get stronger and felt what seemed like my body "snapping back" to its position in the physical. I then started to doubt my experience and pass it off as a dream and physically awoke. I quickly wrote down my experience and went back to sleep.

My 2nd attempt occurred one week later. I just read about Robert Bruce's WILD technique which involves imagining a dream environment (he recommends a mall/department store) as you go to sleep (seems very similar to the Phasing method of inducing a conscious OBE) and eventually finding yourself within this environment from which you can explore/etc. I thought I'd give it a try and did my usual meditation for about an hour and decided to pass out on my right side again. I decided to choose a cafe in a hospital I usually go to as my dream environment. I kept it firmly in my mind as I slowly drifted off. I'd say I was sleeping for a good 20-30 minutes when I suddenly realized I was within a mall inside my dream with my friends. I wasn't fully aware that I was dreaming, but something about the realization that I was in a mall piqued my interest. I then made a firm decision to look at a department store across the way which seemed to be a GAP except it was pitch black inside (until this point, I would just be fluidly moving along with whatever my dream presented). For some reason I decided to stare into the blackness and felt an immense surge of energy/something around my eyes and I remember thinking to myself "Oh no, this isn't good, something doesn't feel right". I then heard a loud wobbling/electrical noise in my ears, felt strong vibrations throughout my entire body, and felt myself drifting to the ground and towards the right. For some reason, I was immediately aware that I was on my bed drifting towards the ground and I began to half-open my eyes, where I could see my ceiling as it would appear if i was actually drifting. The strong vibrations tricked me into thinking I was being pulled back into my body so I decided to try and remain calm and float out from the top of my head. From this point, the vibrations subsided and I found myself fully awake in my physical body. *Also, from within my dream everything didn't seem crystal clear, but rather felt hazy/dreamlike

Well, so those are the two experiences I've had which occurred within a week of each other. I was wondering what you guys think about them? Do you suggest anything I can do to have my experiences last longer? Also, thanks for all the help from this forum! Reading all of Frank's post provided me with so much useful information :)

Congratulations, it seems all your work is paying off for you now. All you need now is more practice, you will find that is the key to success. The experiences will grow from there, but it is difficult to stay out a longer period of the time and still maintain a complete memory of your experiences.

I have a related post to make so I'll just post it in this thread rather than starting a new one.

So I have been working on phasing for quite some time without a whole lot of success, but I have now started to just learn to meditate first.  I've been working on that for about a week.  So tonight I was going to take a nap on the couch with the tv on.  During my nap (basically the entire time) I become aware of myself.  I know I'm asleep on the couch and it seems to be a sort of sleep paralysis because even though I'm aware I can't move at all.  I also couldn't really see a whole lot most of the time.  Sometimes it seemed like I could open my eyes and look at the back of the couch in front of me.

Well, anyway, after a few minutes of awareness I got this very strange sensation.  My "astral body" was buzzing quite a bit and I got the sensation of someone reaching out and grabbing me, then pulling me down a hole or portal of some type.  I then proceeded to free fall for what seemed like a very very long time.  It was a full on, fully aware physical sensation of complete free fall.  Occasionally my awareness would swoop up and start falling again, or start flying in a more straight direction, but then go back to the free fall.  It lasted for what seemed like about 10 minutes before it slowed down and I was just back to laying on the couch.  At that point I began trying to exit, but am really not practiced enough for that yet, and don't really know how to do it.  Eventually when my fiance was ready to go to bed she woke me from whatever state I was in and I retained full memory of what happened.  It was as real as reality, and pretty cool.

Anyone else have a similar experience?  Or know which focus level I was actually in?
