You said your roommate waved at you when u were in OBE. Have u asked him whether he has waved at you when u wer back to the physical body?
I didnt ask him because I assumed it was a reality fluctuation. Plus the excitement on his face seemed out of place. For one he has no clue that I even attempt this type of thing. So for him to wave all happily seemed out of character. I would think he'd be afraid or at least just be shocked. I mean he was watching and smiling even when I walked clear through the wall. Because of that I automatically wrote it off as something weird I had created.
If i asked now there's no way he'd remember. If it happens again I'll ask but i doubt they will remember. Even in the book Monroe wrote that none of the people he talked to remembered the conversations when he asked. I think he thought it might be the superconscious? Im not sure if this is the subconscious or something else.
Im sure it was a aspect of him that was aware of the astral state. As in the monroe books I remember reading where he ended up in a bedroom and a little girl was on the floor and the parents were sleeping well there bodies were but they were afraid with covers over most of there face. The little girl said I know what you are you are a traveler. Remember that? Well the trick usually is gettings someones subconscious to wake up to that reality.
DOA
The concept of Superconsciousness makes sense to me.
The brain is the 3 dimensional sense organ. The mind/soul/higher consciousness is 4 dimensional (or higher). The brain is not refined/sensitive enough to detect the mind/soul/consciousness of someone who is out of body.
Which explains why your friend did not physically react to your presence and yet Did acknowledge your presence with his own mind/soul/consciousness.
Seems simple to me though other people hold different opinions about this..
I read in Journeys out of the Body a while back that Monroe went to visit people he knew in real life. He wrote in his book they actually spoke with him while he was out of body and carried on a normal conversation. Of course there was speculation he made the conversations up or he expected them but maybe there's more to it than that?
In One of my OBEs I walked past one of my roomates and started walking through the wall to go outside. He waved at me and said a very cheerful hello.. he had a look of surprise on his face but i was more shocked he talked to me.
Later on I had thought it was a reality fluctuation type of thing, however reading Monroe's account of the same thing happening to him made me think.
Are they reality fluctuations or is it some aspect of the actual person who is aware of the astral world? Is this why our subconscious knows so much and relays it to us through dreams. If that part of us is really that aware I think it would be important to know that.
thanks people.
