Hello I'm new to this forum and I just found out about Astral Projecting but I find it hard to meditate and get into an altered state of relaxation. First up are some questions

  • Can Astral Projecting Be Dangerous?
  • Can It Be Done By Everyone?
  • Can I Use Binaural Beats To Help Me Project?
  • If So Can I Have Some Links To Free Binaural Beats?
  • Can I Project Anywhere At Anytime?
  • Does Faith Have Anything To Do With Projecting
  • Can I Meet Other People

Alright I am very interested in Lucid Dreaming aswell an I know about reality checks but will a recording of me saying 'I Am Dreaming' on a loop as I'm falling asleep work and use Lucid Dreams as a 'Portal' to Astral Projecting?

I will add on as i remember. Quick Reply would be great. Thanks.

Edit: Will I Remember If I Astral Project When I Go Back To My Body?
What If I Can't Get Back To My Body?
Any Links To Sketches Of The Astral Planes?

Edit2: How About 'I Am Dreaming' Played over some Delta Wave Stimulation?? Would that turn me Lucid?

TeachMeToDream

Alright if you don't wanna answer all those questions just answer this one.

Is it dangerous to astral project?

QuoteCan Astral Projecting Be Dangerous?

Lots of people on this forum will say no. To contrast with that, there are lots of paranoid people on the Astral Dynamics forum who will say yes. Trying to be objective here, I'll say it's no more dangerous than physical reality. I've certainly never been hurt in 7 years of experiences.

QuoteCan It Be Done By Everyone?

I believe so, but different people may find it more difficult to begin with.

QuoteCan I Use Binaural Beats To Help Me Project?

Personally, I think that's just a placebo effect. They're supposed to work by having your brain difference the frequencies going into each ear. I've never seen a good reason why the brain should care about the difference.

QuoteCan I Project Anywhere At Anytime?

In theory, you can (Monroe claimed to be able to do this, IIRC). Most people will find it infinitely easier to do it while their body is asleep though, so relaxation and deep trance are most likely a practical requirement.

QuoteDoes Faith Have Anything To Do With Projecting

No. Astral projection is about experiencing things. Faith is about blind belief in something without any experience.

QuoteCan I Meet Other People

Some people have claimed to do this.

QuoteAlright I am very interested in Lucid Dreaming aswell an I know about reality checks but will a recording of me saying 'I Am Dreaming' on a loop as I'm falling asleep work and use Lucid Dreams as a 'Portal' to Astral Projecting?

I dunno if the recording will help, but I've used LDs before as a 'portal' to AP.

QuoteWill I Remember If I Astral Project When I Go Back To My Body?

Not always, if you fall asleep afterwards. Keeping a dream journal should help with that.

QuoteWhat If I Can't Get Back To My Body?

People here will claim that's impossible. I've never experienced it, but I'm not going to rule it out. Might happen if your physical body dies while you're "out" or if you have psychological or chemical imbalances.

QuoteAny Links To Sketches Of The Astral Planes?

Dunno.

People here dont take these types of posts seriously bc every single answer to your question has been answered on this board or out on the net.

You didnt take anytime to try to find them yourself.  Already you are not taking this very seriously.

I suggest taking a few weeks and read a little.  Try a few techniques, then come back here and ask questions.

Alot of these questions can be answered in astral dynamics by robert bruce, book has over 500 pages and really helped me out to understand quite a bit.

TeachMeToDream

I will look for that book but i doubt i will find it in Australia. I have been trying for around three months now and i have tried 3 techniques none of which worked.

TeachMeToDream

I think I felt the vibrations. I was trying to project and my bed started to vibrate/shake but not very much. It could have been someone walking around the house I'm not totally sure I will try later tonight when everyone is in bed.

TeachMeToDream

I just tried phasing but the only way i can get to see the swirling colors and stuff is to put some pressure on my eyes.

Once I see the patterns it is like going through space and seeing blinking stars. Then it all focuses in and there are four 'circles' the outer circle is the biggest most of the time its is a snowflake pattern the second layer it is a green/purple circle, then a black dot and in the black dot there is a a white stairway, door, face, dragon looking face. Does this sound right??

The next step is to imagine myself 'in' the scene in the black dot??

I live in Australia and you will find the book here... I bought it years ago... You may have to order it in and wait a week or two for it.. but it should be readily available.. I also have about three other books by Robert Bruce, the last of which i got last year..... order Astral Dynamics in.. it is a must read for anyone hoping to project or that just wants to learn about the human being...

Your posts sound a little urgent and stressed.. Try to relax... You are aiming for a body asleep, mind awake state in order to project...You must learn to relax...

Good luck!

Can anyone tell me how they first projected. Give the method that worked? Explain in your words??

If i want to try the technique where you imagine yourself turning into steam and lifting out of your body. do i need to have a open Crown Chakra and open Third-Eye Chakra???

Apparently i have a under-active Third-Eye is this what is holding me back?

alright.... so the first time i projected i was around 5-6 years old it was i went through a whirlpool of emotion, some good, some bad, some terrifying, after that i projected again at around the age of 14, that's when i got interested in the topic. I was lying down in a wing chair, increadibly exhausted from studies and lack of sleep. all i remember was i couldn't move, and even though my eyes were closed i could see and hear everything around me. 360' crystal clear vision. it lasted for less than ten minutes, mostly because i was scared of the whole paralysis thing.

now regarding a working method. before i begin, i'd just like to say that while learning about this topic and the methods involved, you should be fully awared that there's not definite science to astral projection, we are all different, and whatever techniques you read about may or may not work for you, so learn as much as you can, feel free to improvise, and do what's comfortable to you. That's the way i did it and i found that a combination of techniques work best, so mix and match as you like.

before you start and this is something that every technique out there can't stress enough upon, is that you need to be mentally ready for the process and you need to be welcoming to it, because it can get very intense and often scary to a certain degree. and you need to positively want it and positively expect it to work. all negative emotions work against your projection.

1. Begin by taking a comfortable position on your bed/chair, preferably which no limb pressing on another.

2. Next start of by relaxing all your body muscles, from the biggest to the smallest, when i say relaxing i don't mean making them stationary, i mean fully relaxing every muscle, making sure they are not contracting or stressed in anyway, in a manner of speaking letting go for your physical body. as you are doing this you should experience a sort of sinking sensation. you can either relax your muscles all at once, or go through the limbs individually (this is a better way) starting with your feet, moving up to your legs, torso, hands, chest, shoulders, head, and finally face. around half way through this process the bottom of your feet should begin to feel relatively cold. that means your doing it right.

3. now once, your done with the physical relaxation, you need begin the mental. start of by slowing down your breating rate, taking deeper and longer breath, as much as your comfortable with. do this for a couple of minutes, until you become aware of you heart beat. once your heart beat becomes defined and obvious, slowly start syncronising your breaths with your heart beat. once you've achieve synchrosity, start slowing you breath rate down all the with thinking, almost willing to slow your heart beat along with it to maintain it's synchronisation, this part isn't easy but you'll get the hang of it with practice.

4. after doing step 3 for about ten minutes, double check your body making sure it is fully relaxed, then begin calming your mind, this part is very similar to meditation, where you just free your mind of all thoughts, but the other thing your need to do is to control your emotion and maintain your state of relaxation, try, even if it's pretending and first, to not feel any strong emotion, be it positive or negative, e.g. joy, anger, sorrow, exitement. just maintain a state of peace. at this point you should feel a little light headed, and slightly less focused than before, what your going to experience next is random, images, thoughts, places, and situations, a bit like dreaming, except your it a sort of 3rd person voyeour, at this point, you should not fight those images and do not try to push them or block them out, instead dive deeper into the experience, and hang on to them while at the same time trying to keep your conscious mind awake by logically analysing them.

5. a couple of minutes later your should be on your way to an astral projection, though a word of caution, there is a high possibility that you may experience vibrations or in some cases a surge of electricity coursing through your whole body, that can in some cases be quite painful, while your first instinct maybe to be afraid, try to make it stop, or try to wake up, as to not suffer through that, the opposite behaviour is recommend it. Embrace it savour it, you will find that those vibrations are often triggered by certain thoughts, memories, or emotions, so try to find which ones, and make the vibrations stronger, more powerful, trick your mind into, as masochistic as it may seem, enjoying it. because the stronger these vibration, the sooner you will slip out of your body, and more probability of and astral projection, and the more time you spend in that state.

6. finally once your slip out, and this will feel like the most liberating feeling you will ever experience in you life. you will most probably find your self in a random place, don't be alarmed, look around explore, and live your dream.

also, i advise that what you are dealing with here is not a dream, it is an entirely different dimension, you should behave morally and ethically, because everything you do has consequences.

i hope this was helpful.

In regards to your guide, I have a question. I have been using almost the exact same technique as you, but have never gotten past the vibrational stage, if I'm lucky enough to get there at all. I have a lot of trouble relaxing my chest and face, since I'm constantly aware of my lungs expanding and contracting, as well as my breath coming in and out through my nose. Do you have any advice on these areas?

Steele

ill tell you that im glad you are asking these questions its good to get as many answers at first. illl tell that some of youre questions actually cannot be truthfully answered im basically referring to meeting people. as projecting is different for everyone you may find that ppl will say its impossible to do something and you may project and then do it. i think its good to keep an open mind
