Title: TED Talk Links to Tenets of Astral Projection

If you can understand why this works, then you understand why visualization works and why the 'experience of attempting to phase' is composed of so many 'fleeting images'.

P.S. Think of intent as the needle writing the record.

Once on the road as a merchant in a Renaissance Faire I came across this one younger guy, probably in his early 20's. He was using his Smart Phone to do some banking. I asked him what he thought about all the new gadgets/technology. He said he loved them, I told him the only thing I have is a home computer and a dinosaur of a cellphone We purchased our cellphone about 10 years ago, we never really use it, the only time it really rings is a wrong number or an irritating text message from the cellphone company. He told me he works for Microsoft and that his job is to make these new gadgets. We started talking about whether he thought these gadgets were advancing our minds or hurting them. He said they were definitely helping, I brought up the fact that you don't use your memory anymore. He then looked at me and admitted I was right. He said he had forgotten his own Mother's phone number and all other numbers that he once had memorized, because he didn't need that ability anymore due to having all those numbers on his phone already.
Using your memory has always been one of the best ways of exercising your mind that you can do.  I saw a commercial just recently where I saw a person talking to their phone to remind them of something they need to know in the future. This really drives home the of killing the physical memory. It also shows how lazy technology has made us. When they talk about computer chips being put into people they talk about how you will be able to access everything knowledge wise immediately by just a thought. Where does this leave the brain? What would be the difference between a human and a computer? This brings me back to the vision of the lazy sloths in the Wall-E movie create by Pixar Animations.
Thank you Contenteo, that was a great video. Ted.com always has great videos, I particularly like this one myself. http://www.ted.com/talks/jill_bolte_taylor_s_powerful_stroke_of_insight.html?source=facebook#.T00-RIoRH2R.facebook

Oh yeah, that's a classic. I luckily stumbled across TED way back when it first started. Total chance. That was one of the best ones back then. And I feel still is to this day. It really speaks directly from a PUL POV.(Pure Unconditional Love) (Point of View)

Cheers,

That was an excellent video Contenteo!

To expand upon Lionhearts point too...
I was thinking about how we seem to be externalizing our cognitive functions more and more these days.  It's almost like we're developing these technologies in our physical reality in an attempt to bring us closer to how a "consciousness" works.  But instead of bring those abilities into ourselves, we've externalizing them with "technology".

Things like "moving really fast" = transportation (car, truck, train, etc)
Things like "thinking really fast" = computers
Things like "flying" = planes

Any "ability" which you can think of... we've either made reality, or will eventually create it.  I found this concept interesting, in that... are we actually creating/discovering these technologies?  Or are we, in a sense, altering our physical reality on a collective scale in order to support the kind of things we want to be able to do?
