Ok, my parents were interested in this subject nearly 20 years ago and never ran anywhere with it, let alone read the book they purchased.  So they gave me their copy of The Llewellyn Pratical Guide to Astral Projection, which got a lot of bad amazon reviews.  So I found this forum and I have been reading a lot of what people have said.

So this is what I have been doing for a week now yet I haven't had buzz/vibratsions yet.  I am not trying to rush the feeling on because I have trouble sleeping which every time I tend to just fall asleep which is a good thing for me!

1) Well I lay down and close my eyes and focus on my breathing calming my ADHD mind. If I do think of something it always turns out to be an itch that I suddenly get.
2) My mind starts to shut down and I make my "astral vehicle"
3) I try to feel as if I float to my "astral vehicle" which is the body form of me, turn around, and SNAP I am projected.

So this book is confusing which many amazon customers/reviewers say and call it garbage. So I downloaded Astral Dynamics from (http://www.astraldynamics.com/library/?BoardID=31&BulletinID=690) as posted in other threads.  I am going to read this tomorrow, as the debates are on tonight!) But first, I want to make sure I understand the posts on here.

I need to relax, do the breathing pattern, 2, 4, 2 (or other?), wait for the vibratsions and buzz and let it go as long as possable, when it stops I shouldn't be able to actually move. Then while my eyes are still closed, pull/slip/roll myself out useing ONLY my mind.  After that I should KNOW that I am out?

I'm just interested in the RTZ right now. There is so much of the world I would like to explore.  Now my next question is can I see what's REALLY happening in the RTZ at the present time?  Like if I wanted to explore the White House or Area 51 I could or would it be what I wanted or thought it looked like?  Say I wanted to go to Tokyo when it's night here/day there I could walk around some Sony HQ?  I feel if I could then the RTZ is soo important and could never get boring. I would just LOVE to spend like 12+ hours walking around the world.

You'll know when your out, because you'll think OMG I'm dieing! And then you'll end the projection and realize that you weren't dieing and that you were so close but panicked. At least that's how it went for me at first and a lot of other people too.

Know that having an OBE is not something you can force, if you try to force it then it will only be more difficult. The more relaxed and carefree you are the more likely it is. This is true with one exception -- if you're about to pop out and get stuck it does sometimes help to will yourself to be free -- sometimes it works other times it doesn't.

Doing what you've said is good, I did the same thing and it helps. If it works for you as is, then great. You need to be able to completely clear your mind of all thought for at least 30 seconds. Focusing on your breathing helps until your mind is totally clear.

The easiest way for me to OBE to the RTZ is this: Before going to sleep I started catching myself starting to dream, not really dreaming but having these fantasies where I wasn't thinking but I was in some imaginary world about to fall asleep. Normally I'd go deeper into the fantasy and pass out asleep. But I started to practice clearing my mind at this point, just letting myself go where ever I was going. Barely staying awake, a few minutes l started feeling vibrations, as they got stronger I stopped being passive -- just along for the ride, and started to try to feel myself leaving my body, if after a few seconds I didn't feel anything happened I'd try to feel myself getting as light as air and moving up, if still nothing happened I'd try to sit up as a last resort. (you may actually think you've sat up when you've left your body -- then again you may actually sit up and ruin the projection).

The most important thing I can tell you, the thing that nobody fully understands is that an OBE to the RTZ will be unlike anything you can expect. When you leave your body to the RTZ it will not feel like some type of dream, it feels as real as this is now.

I've left my body several times thinking that I was still in it, -- you know actually thinking I was REALLY walking around the room -- only to find myself opening my eyes with the bed sheets still on top of me.

The second most important thing I can tell you is once you get out of your body RUN AWAY. This is SO important, you must get at least 20 or more feet away from your body, don't look back, just get up and run. If you don't you'll snap back in a few seconds. Even if you can't see, or hear, and it's dark just move.

To answer your question about seeing things as they happen = maybe. The RTZ can merge into the Astral Realms, time and space don't always apply... If you haven't run out of energy to keep yourself on the RTZ you should be able to see things in real time. However doing this for more than a few minutes is hard without lots of practice.

Good luck to you,

Steel Hawk

Thank you!  I have heard about this and the third eye from my parents when I was a child and have now developed an interest in this subject matter.  Once again, thank you!
