I once saw a tibetan book on 'dream' AND 'sleep' yoga...

Anyone knows what they mean by sleep yoga (as opposed to the dream one)...?
If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

Namaste,
I obtained a copy of an audio book called 'Tibetan Dream Yoga' by Lama Surya Das.  In this book he teaches the art of conscious dreaming and gives the technique(s) used by Tibetan Yogis and Yoginis for the last 1200 years to achieve this end. Here is a link to his site... http://www.dzogchen.org/

The posture for the practice is sleeping on the right side for men, and on the left side for women with the right or or left hand positioned under the cheek. This position the historical Buddha died in when he passed into Nirvana. Here is the mantra or affirmation that is given to be repeated before sleep. It is a translation of the Tibetan version:

May I awaken within this dream,
And grasp the fact that I am dreaming?
So that all dream-like beings may also awaken,
From the nightmare of illusiary suffering and confusion.

Also there is a morning practice which consists of saying 'AAaaahhhhhhhhh' apon awakening then sitting up, saying 'AAaaaahhhhhhh' again, then stretching like a big cat and saying 'AAaaaaahhhhhhh' a third time. This is a practice of energy raising.
I reccomend that anyone interested should look into this further and also look into the wealth of spiritual teachings offered by the Tibetan Buddhist community[:)]

I've got that book, and compared to all the other books on the subject matter, this one is the best.

Oh and Lama Surya Das sucks, I read his BS and it was very limited.

I am starting to get the impression that what the Tibetan Yogis call Dream Yoga is actually the OBE, because according to them OBE is a type of dream. I've heard this before from other OBE researchers.

An easy method for maintaining awareness in the throat chakra for Lucid Dream Induction, is to swallow some air, in the same manner that you would cause yourself to burp. Hold it in, don't release it, unless it is very uncomfortable or it comes out by accident. You will feel it right at the base of the throat, then do a breathing meditation while holding it in. Maintain this until you fall asleep, best to do it an hour or two before bedtime, so you're not doing it all day long.

I figured this out, when meditating I got thirsty and drink some Sprite and felt the Burp rising, at first I thought I was about to go OBE, but then a loud burp came forth, I tried it again to see if I could hold it, I did and felt some weird changes happening in my head, almost border-line Trance.

see, here I was thinking that this was about doing Asanas in a lucid dreaming state....
