love for the third dimension

It's not the speed of light limit, the second law of thermodynamics, or being a slave to gravity that makes the 3rd dimension seem so unfulfilling, it's the fact that so many people here are irritatingly dull. They're satisfied to work 9 to 5 day in and day out and fall asleep drooling on their couch watching liars on TV.

For me one of the prime motivations for projecting is to make myself more well-rounded and try to shake the people I love free of their consumer-culture stupor.

I would definitely be letting them down if I didn't try to get them to discover on their own how vapid and stagnant their lives are compared to what they could be.

Being free of physics is fun but being free of mass social boredom is divine.

well put cube!

That is exactly how I feel, only I didn't know how to express it.

thanks

I came across a very insightful quote yesterday:

"A cycle is hell for an infinite Being dear friend."

This relates to an experience Robert Monroe talks about in "Ultimate Journey". He returns to his Home world where his soul started out. It's a beautiful place and all the beings are energy curls of light which are free of the physical constraints like the second law of thermodynamics and gravity.

At first it's fun to be there and play games with them, but after a while he finds that everything goes in cycles. Eventually things repeat themselves, the beings play the same game over and over.

It's at this point the Monroe realises that he can never go back to his Home because he had outgrown it. He understood why he had made the choice to evolve into something higher, basically to escape boredom.

It's the same thing at all levels of existence I think, we live in a reality until we see the cycles and get bored, then move on. Eventually we'll have seen all there is to see on Earth and graduate somewhere else.

The most unhappy, near suicidal times in my life where not when I was sick or injured or when people tried to hurt me. The most awful times for me were when it seemed like I was stuck living the same day over and over and would take more effort than I could ever manage to get out of it.

The root reason why being a quadraplegic would be terrible is not so much because of the physical constraints, but because not being able to move your body would make your life much more likely to fall into a cycle.

At that time I defined hell as being out of God's love, but that is only a specifc case. The general pattern of hell is being stuck in a cycle.

while I whole-heartedly agree with that quote...  I have to question, isn't EVERYTHING a cycle, just on another level?  The universe expands and contracts, we evolve and forget... creation / destruction / creation... etc.

Is there ever not a cycle???

cube

I certainly hope not! From what I've read I get the feeling that levels of existance are being created higher and higher at a rate faster than we can possibly keep up with.

I used to find that discouraging since it sort of implies we can never get 'closer' to God than we are at this moment. But now I see that this is actually a very good thing because it guarantees that we'll never run out of interesting stuff to find and discover and do.

On another note, programmers judge random number generators based on the number of times you can use it to generate a number before it starts over again. So in addition to being an anti-boredom mechanism, the universe is also a grand search for the ultimate random number generator.

"every end is a beginning". you just havent been there yet. Think how endlessly this existence goes on day in day out, seems like a lifetime within a second. i believe existence continues on after death, i dont think history books pages will ever be complete, in this life or the next and so on, if existence is infinite, then why expire?

My worry, cube, is that eventually I will get tired of experience.  Netti netti

holy reality

hence

"Existence is suffering."
"The cause of suffering is desire."

Nirvana..... satori, etc... nothingness....

Basically the answer is not in existing, but rather in eternally nonexisting....

I do not know whether I would prefer to never be again after this life, to be nothing, but I know that I do not under any circumstances want to be human any more, this world sickens me, these people sicken me. They are largely good in a way, but they are so naive and ignorant, and so many of them are helpless slaves..... but we are all slaves sadly.

I just don't want this existence, I want something better, or nothing at all.. reincarnating as human in an uncertain future, perhaps in a third world country, terrifies me... reincarnating as something less than a human is that much worse.

I want to cease to be or to move on to being something better, frankly.

and I have no idea what to believe, so that complicates things too.

haha ~ and it will probably be those beliefs/feelings surrounding humanity that will cause you to come back... again and again!

While I definitely sympathize, I can't feel that negatively towards humanity.  All these people who are "sleepwalking" are awake at some level, you know?  I believe as humans, we are all Gods.  It appears that we have magnificent powers when we are able to tap into the energy.  Everybody shares in this.  ... yes, I agree that the majority of people are all "slaves" and, in my opinon, pretty ignorant.  I still think that each person is striving for spiritual perfection (eventual nirvana, satori, etc.?) in their own way, whether or not they understand it.

The human race is connected, just like the universe is connected.  Perhaps we really do have to incarnate here repeatedly until a large enough percentage "get it" and we can tip the scales the other way?

I think complete and utter love of the third dimension and all its "perceived" flaws is absolutely necessary.  It seems today that the third dimension and its vehicle of choice, the ego, have a bad rap.

How did this come about?  So many people (and no one take offense, because myself has been included in this) bemoan our limitations as "humans" and search for other realms, such as the astral, etc.

While that is all well and good (and very exciting!) ... I am concerned about the negativity and resentment that I perceive is harbored at humanity's current situation.  We all got here because of reality consensus – and it is THAT by which people are unconsciously trapped, not the fact that that is the natural human condition.

Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of people are learning energy techniques and projection as a form of escape... AS WELL AS other reasons, such as spiritual advancement, expanding consciousness, etc.  I have been  poking around here and seen quite a few people relay the feeling that they couldn't wait to leave their body and be free of limitation.  I know that not everybody feels this way, but I am concerned that this belief may be affecting us subconsciously.  The belief that we are lesser as humans shouldn't exist at all.

I can say personally that will I know energy raising, astral projection, etc. by second nature, when I am truly able to accept and embrace the enormous power we have as humans.

We straddle both realms, and in fact all realms.  Why not live this realm to the fullest instead of yearning for something that is already in you?

Just some thoughts.
