Trancing

I've been interested in astral projection for some time know and just need some clarification about trancing. Do u need music to trance because I have heard arguments about needing it and not needing it. If trancing is better done with music, what kinds of music is good? I would also appreciate it if anyone that knows any techniques will post them.

No you do not need music to trance. In fact I'd advise against it, because if you use music you'll become conditioned to it, and you won't be able to trance WITHOUT it. If you learn to trance without music or anything else, you will be able to trance when and where you want.

If you have to use something, i'd suggest learning the Silva Method and using a nice theta binaural. The method is based on "going to level" (their term for a trance state, but with enough awareness to decide how to use it when you get there) in the alpha range, but they suggest going down to 7 Hz theta so that when you start to think about the information you access it only kicks you back to 10 Hz alpha instead of all the way back to beta. You can condition yourself to quickly and easily go to level and when you are confident that your brainwave pattern is shifting you can stop using the binaurals. The biggest challenge with the Silva Method is at first you will be asking yourself if it is really working and all the talking to yourself keeps you in beta. The binaurals make it easier to relax and trust it is working.
