I tried the wake-back-to-bed method, I went to sleep at 1 o'clock in the morning and made the alarm go off at 5 o'clock. When I awoke I laid on my back kept my mind awake but i guess I fell asleep cause I can't really remember what the hell happened. Any suggestions on how I can better my performance on trying to do this method the right way?
Set your alarm so you wake feeling groggy. This will really help.
You need to find a balance of how much sleep the body requires. Too much and you'll be awake trying for hours. Not enough and you'll crash out remembering very little.
Try not to worry about falling asleep. I think that happens to everyone. Next time you may not fall asleep. There is no wrong or right way. Everyone is different so my way may not work for you. Stay calm, relaxed, be patient and be determined to succeed. If you are determined to succeed you are half way there. Do not put a strain on yourself as that will not work. If you do not succeed there is always tomorrow. You could do an ap technique or you could meditate. If you meditate that can lead to ap. You may see things when your eyes are closed. That can lead to ap as well.
I also have another question, I practice is the afternoons because I have vacation now, I just go to bed and calm my body down so that it goes to sleep, I got it right to feel intense vibrations 2 days ago, but now I can't even seem to get to that stage, I just lay in my bed and do nothing, what are the steps?

This happens to me and it is usually because I got too much sleep up to this point. You need to be a little tired, something about your body producing certain chemicals needed to sleep or something like that. It won't make that chemical if it feels like it is well rested and this is turn makes it harder to concentrate to a relaxed state that you are looking for... or something to that effect, point being, just be tired enough to rest, but awake enough to not doze off right away.
That makes better sense thanks, because I've been taking frequent naps not because I'm tired but only to try and AP. I'll take a nap next time I'm actually tired lol

TRY AGAIN! :-)
Like the saying goes "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again".

And you only tried it
once? C'mon, you cannot always expect instant success. Try to make adjustments and variations, e.g. alternate the times you set the timer, the length of the first sleep period, or try a sophisticated timer method which means you set 3-4 sleeping periods and try in-between, try saying affirmations when you lie in bed again and repeat them all over for a few minutes, etc....
You must find out what's best for you by 'trial and error', it's a constant process, if you found sth that works better, then approach it and fine-tune it, it's all not a one-off thing and finding what's best you is a personal journey, the best method or method combinations only you can find out for yourself
try to make notes every night about what you did and what was the result, then try sth different, change one or two parameters and see what has an effect
you see, it's a little of a (personal) science indeed, but the most important thing is that you do not give up if you do not make progress during your first attempts
good luck

We are deep in the middle of the "Now Generation". Everything is a click a way, so why can't AP be as well.
Well it actually is. You just have to reprogram your thinking. You do have the ability to shift at will. Everyone does. You just have to learn to turn the physical off and NP on.
That sounds pretty easy (at least to say), but is much harder to do in practice. That's why it takes practice, patience and perseverance to finally be successful.
I can understand why most people won't listen to Tom Campbell's entire 1 1/2 hour video. He gets to the point where he says this takes months and even years to accomplish and that you should first learn to meditate and lower your entropy. That it is a life choice, not some kind of spare of the moment joyride.
Many of our current members here that are now giving you advise have indeed put the time in and are still doing it today by helping you here. CFTraveler, Volgerle, Szaxx and Xanth were among the names of the people that first Welcomed me to this site almost 3 years ago now. Those great contributors are still helping others here today. That's what lowering your Entropy is all about! :-)
Thanks allot I appreciate it, I will keep and notepad next to my bed to keep a recording on what I do wrong and right according to how my experience was and if I did something right. Thanks everyone, really helpful on this forum real fast and effective replies
It does not work like that with me. I find the best time to try to ap is when I am not tired. I like to have plenty of sleep. I have ap lots of times when I have had a lot of sleep.

What time do you usually wake up in the morning?
I wake up at like 8
So sleep through the night, get up at 5, take a little walk around the house, and settle in to project a few minutes later.
