Trouble Astral Projecting?

When it comes to trying to Astral Project I have tried it all. I am fairly good at meditation and I have tried meditating to induce it and even tried some of the hemi sync stuff. I've tried numerous techniques and have tried at all times of day and night. Its been about 2 years of on and off attempts and I really wish to do it.

Let me tell you how my usual attempt goes. I relax, not having eaten anything within 4 hours. I meditate and empty my thoughts. I then pick a particular technique and go for it. then I feel faint vibrations. I get a ticklish feeling in my stomach. I feel weightless. The vibrations increase strongly while I start feeling a slight paralysis and a feeling of movement. Then occasionally there is a flash of white light. After that everything slowly stops. It doesn't matter if I attempt with all my heart to project or if I pretend to not even notice the vibrations.

In case any of you are knowledgeable about eastern or western magickal practices I also created several servitors, or thought forms, to help me. Usually I just create them in my mind during meditation and give them the order to help me. I even one did the whole process to make a physical base for it and all that. These guys usually give me the most help of all though. I tell them to pull me out on 3. And when I count to 3 its the closest I ever feel to out of body. A tugging sensation with weightlessness and just a tickling feeling as if on a roller coaster. Sadly it all ends the same no matter what.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi humantorch!

Welcome to the Astral Pulse.  :)

Lemme zero in quickly on one particular aspect of your post to get some clarification.

When you say you "I meditate and empty my thoughts", what exactly are you doing here?

Well I usually just do a simple zen meditation and count breaths. Or sometimes I imagine my thoughts as leaves, tree branches, or other muck and watch them flow out of the river of my mind and into the vast ocean. Or I do a fire breath which is usually associated with Kundalini Yoga. And thanks for the welcome.

My advice, however credible..

Don't count breaths... observe them, concentrate on them, feel them, "become" them... but never count them. Why? Because your mind is talking.. "1 breath... 2 breath... 3 breath... etc."

The way you banish thoughts is okay. I sometimes imagine putting mine in a little cardboard box and walking away if they're too active. But after the thoughts go you need to focus on something, anything, that'll take your mind off your body. Exit techniques, noticing w/o reacting (as seen in phasing), and the revised breathing technique all work to varying degress for different people.

Watched a video on the fire breath thing... I doubt it will give you a projection in itself. You want to slow your heart rate not speed it up through rapid breathing.

Yes and no.  The rapid breathing is said to induce altered states, which is why they do it.  Projection isn't just about the commonly accepted definition of leaving the body.  It's about experiencing the other worlds in all kinds of capacities.  Also, rapid breathing puts more oxygen in the brain and can get you pretty goofy and tranced out.

But, yea, for traditional projection/OBE, that probably won't help really.
be awesome.

@ Humantorch- Everything you describe is ok with me, but I have a question.  Approx. how long does it take before you decide to exit (and use the servitors to help you?)  I have a few ideas but not enough info to give advice.
