Hey all,

I'm new to this seen but completely hooked and basically can't get enough :)  I just need a little help from you more experienced Astral travellers.

I have only just started trying to AP for about 2 weeks, I get to a stage where my visuals start becoming very real, I start to zoom in more i guess you could say, Instead of feeling like I'm viewing them from a distance, Basically I'm going deeper into my visual seeing more detail although I'm fairly disconnected from my body at this stage i can still notice my heart rate rises and i have trouble breathing feeling abit restricted having to breath deeper(which is good, from what iv read I'm on track) Its just annoying as I'm trying to forget about all that physical body side.. But i am staying calm.
By this stage Iv started getting some vibes in my ears, When this has started i personally feel/visualise like i am getting pulled threw/up a dark purple cloud like vortex.

Iv only got to the vibrational stage twice so far out of my 6 or 7 attempts but my eyes start to flicker and move alot by now, the first time i got here i heard a door clink shut(in my mind) it was so real i wasn't expecting it so i lost my train of thought and found myself back at the start.

The last time i got to that stage of vibes and vortex/pulling/sinking feeling my eyes started to flicker again and i just thought relax your forehead, this worked but then i must of forgot to breath and had to take a deep gasp and it just messed me up again and i found myself back at the start.. FRUSTRATING GRR haha

SO, im wondering if the eyes flickering is normal i guess ? I presume its something similar to REM sleep and just to try relax the forehead.
But i also would like to no if I'm close to braking threw  ?
And when these vibes and vortex happens if i can keep it all together an not mess my breathing up what will happen ?? What am i looking for ? It feels as if I'm getting faster and faster and I'm going to burst/brake threw ??
Is that what will happen ? It will get faster and louder and BANG then ill suddenly appear back in my physical body but in my astral body and then i can take off threw the ceiling catchya later ? :/  Whats after the vibes and vortex ???????

I really want to no the nitty gritty little details of this "fine line" between braking threw, just so i no what I'm expecting, to have a goal i guess ???

Any feedback would be great, i wanna brake threw so bad !

cheers, enlightnd.

Hello.

Here's the good news. You are close. Closer than you could possibly imagine.

Here's the bad news. You are no closer now then you were when you had no idea or intent on projecting. That's not true. You are further away than when you were a child.

Just joking, but not really. I bet your wishing someone else would have responded first. But relax, I'm a nice guy and I really want to see you succeed. And so do the others. I'm new to the forum myself but I have around twelve years of projecting intentionally(or phasing I more comfortably say).

First, do yourself a huge favor and believe that projecting is real and so are the destinations. A good mantra may even be "This is real". A mantra is a saying that you can repeat to yourself over and over again as your first trying to relax and calm your mind and your breathing. Your post is highly suggestive that your concentrating on way tooooooooooomany many things and breathing is one of them. You need to slow your mind and body down and concentrating on too many things is purpose defeating.

I suggest that you get comfortable, close your eyes, notice the blackness and the little not-as-black as the rest of the black blobs and shapes that come from all sides. Just notice them for now and do not try to make out any patterns or images. Let them come, let them go. Now while you're just noticing the blackness repeat "This is real" (the words aren't important, you could choose any that you like)with your inner voice. Some people suggest that you say the mantra while you're inhaling and other say while you're exhaling. When I do use a mantra, I find it's easier for me to break it up. For example, while I'm inhaling, I'll say "this is" then I'll say "real' when I exhale. Just the inner voice. What's important is that you tweak all the tips in to a manner that helps you to slow your breathing and calm your mind. Keep noticing the blackness but do not concentrate on them.

Now, when it comes to the sensations, the vibrations, rapid heartbeat, buzzing noises, and SP, there are no hard and fast set rules or milestones in them. You may feel one or two. You may feel them all. You may feel none of them. And no matter the case, you can still project. And every time you do project you can feel a different combination each time. I know that can sound disappointing because when your still trying to have your first projection, you want to at least take comfort from at least getting this far. And the next time you want to at least get this far and so on and so on. But the truth is, each time you try after a failed attempt to project, You have reached a milestone. There's no telling how many people have quit when their next attempt could have been the one. Don't be that person. DON'T LET DOUBT CREEP IN.

But all those sensations are important for too many reasons to list. But please understand, there is no danger in any of them as they are perfectly natural. It's just that most people are asleep and aren't aware when they occur. You know, there are two milestones when it comes to the sensations, now that I mention it.  They are fear and excitement. What I mean is that once you get over the fear of them, you will then have to get use to the excitement you feel when they arrive thinking you are close to a projection. The milestones are reached when you do not let the fear and excitement prevent you from projecting.

Many of us can induce the SP sensations pretty quickly but it can still take us a little time to clear our minds. But moving on. So you have repeated your mantra while breathing and you are just noticing the blackness. Now you have to be on guard of falling asleep. Since your doing this with the intent of projecting you do have that as a little bit of protection but it isn't much. The first few times you start slipping into that state where you're noticing the blackness but your mind is wondering away, it's relatively easy to snap back to your intention of projecting but it gets harder each time you catch yourself drifting. This is where you will have to focus on the blackness but DO NOT CONCENTRATE on it. Just let the images come and go but now you should start noticing that the not-as-black blobs and such are becoming clearer images. There will even be flashes of colors. You may hear sounds like your name, or anything really. From your post, I can tell you have already reached this point clearly. What I think is happening is that now your eyes are becoming your biggest problem. This happens to me a lot.

The easiest way to prevent your eyes from twitching and opening is to cover them with a small towel or anything really. Just don't choose anything that is heavy or that you can't easily forget is there. I think that's it for you really. Your eyes seem to be betraying you in that crucial moment. So I want to congratulate you in advance. You really are close. I'm not teasing you. You may be one less eye twitch away. But I have one last piece of advice and this may not happen with you but it happens to most of us. Once you have projected and you are fully aware, don't be disappointed when your excitement overwhelms you and sends you straight back. It's a beginner thing and it's a great feeling to have while you're disappointed with your success. Irony, what can I say. Thanks and proceed with amazement.

It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.

Maybe your goal should be to have (in a way) "no goal".

Forget everything you've ever read and release every preconceived idea you've ever had about projecting

I would say my 'breakthrough' happened when i released all my expectations as to what 'it' would be like and continually told myself "this is easy. we(people)/I am doing it naturally anyway" and things similar to this.

I think part of the fine line is in between being informed and trained in skills that will help you project and between becoming too attached to the "nitty gritty little details" that they start to hinder future projection experiences.

I am/have been largely a nitty gritty details type person.

But becoming open to possibilities beyond the over-analytical mind and simply ALLOWING, may just hold the keys to your breakthrough as it did mine.  :-)

ALLOWING and SURRENDERING are the key words for this practice. Once you learn how to do this, you will always see favorable results!  :-)

I say once you learn this, because it's not easy at first. It's hard to just let go of your control and trust 100% in something you are not familiar with. But once you can do this consistently, you show your "higher self" you are ready to learn more. You finally open yourself to a your higher consciousness.

Everyone can do this. It just takes a lot of focused will and determination. It takes intent, trust and new way of thinking to open the doors to the unseen Multiverse that lies beyond our physical reality.

I like to say this to myself to open those doors "By my act of will the unseen Multiverse is readily opened to me, my inner sight is true and far reaching". But when you use a saying like this, you don't just say it like it's part of a script. You have put meaning and intent into it your words. Then and only then will you create your desired effect.

Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)

@Its_all_bad -  Thanks for the humour, :-P I got hell exited then you shut me down hahaha, Its good feedback tho, first off i do believe this is a real place and its defiantly possible the only thing i would say i feel is i hope i can get there and start to experience it all from a conscious state, who wouldn't want to really? I mean iv had lucid dreams but to go into it in a conscious state!!! AMAZING!

Your feedback defiantly helps! It all does as you guys no.. I don't, You have been threw all this part so ill try anything your recommend to get there and I embrace any criticism and tips because obviously i was doing a few things wrong where i thought i was doing them right.

I think i came to the conclusion that i needed to hold onto my visuals for as long as i can as from what iv read i got the vibe that you need to pretty much start dreaming but stay conscious obviously, So i thought the best way to do that would be to go deeper into my visuals.. But i was trying to make out the patterns and images instead of what your saying an just letting them come an go, I mean i would let that happen but i was analysing them probably to much.
Ill defiantly try that mantra "this is real" i was trying one the other day and i would do it on the inhale and exhale like you were saying but it was some chooo chee chaaa one and i didn't really like it.

This is very interesting, i WAS thinking there would be set milestones and it would always be a similar order, progressing threw each stage.. BUT this is good in this case like you say each attempt could of been very close, I defiantly was thinking the buzzing was the main one that would have to happen to phase, obviously not. This helps again and gives me more of an open mind to it all as i don't have to worry about 'not getting to that stage' or anything. Thats good. And i will not let doubt creep in ! I WILL GET THERE! I won't give up! I'm not going to let you guys have all the fun!! hahah

Im over the fear part for sure, I fully embrace any sensations but i do get very exited now like you say and that has wrecked it for me also because i start thinking ohh ohhhh this is it this is good then i think noooo shhh clear your mind haha, I think my first projection i will more than likely be way to exited and come rushing back to reality, Then i will be kicking myself HAH.

As for my eyes i have been using a small towel this works good, they are a pain tho arnt they! If there not twitching there trying to open 'at that crucial moment' like you say, iv had to clench them shut again which wrecks concentration just slightly.

And ill try not to get to exited when i end up phasing hahah thanks again for the advice.

Thanks dean. :)
Sounds like a quote front the movie the karate kid hahah  :-D

Thats good tho i defiantly have a lot of info floating around in my head, It sounds like a big part of it really is to do with belief in yourself that you CAN do it and not to fuss over it to much and those "nitty grittys", I guess its just hard at the start because you feel you want to give it your all, when really to give it your all to get the results is to do hardly anything and go with it naturally..

I fully agree, these reply's have helped me a lot to give me that push in the right direction and get me back on track, It is Hard, this is not an easy thing to do hey, but i like challenges and man i want the results so bad! This is unlike anything i have ever learned its incredible, I mean this not something anyone can just do, you can't just buy a kit down the shops and go an do it and even the amount you read in the end it gives you a greater understanding of it all but still won't completely help to get there, like you say its ALLOWING it to happen, in the end there is only so much yourself can do to get there.

Its so interesting its such a talent, a very desirable talent thats only available to those passionate enough willing to surrender and open to,
I am very determined to get there :-) And i LOVE the new way of thinking !!

Don't you guys just want to be there all the time  ?

thanks for the meaningful words lionheart.

cheers, haydn.
