Hey folks, just a quick question if ya don't mind
One of the things I'm doing at the moment is the whole alarm clock method kinda thing:
Wake up, don't move, focus, await vibrations. For the most part it takes around 5-15 seconds for them to hit.

However, most mornings I'm waking up and accidentally moving my arms or legs to get comfy without really wanting to.
Thinking the vibrations will now take minutes to arrive (most likely not true), as oppose to the normal 10 seconds, I decide
to give up and fall back asleep (I'm weak willed at 6am tbh, Mr Hyde just wants to sleep :-D).

Can anyone shed some light on how this kind of repositioning of the body could effect the wait for the vibrations/sp?
Thinking that my chances are shot because I've moved may be robbing me of funtimes.

This is just my two cents, but the moving might not be the problem. The problem might be that you are thinking that they pose a problem. We normally move as we're falling asleep without even realizing it. Chances are, if you didn't think it was a problem, you wouldn't be having a problem. If that makes any sense. I know how hard it is to not worry. Over thinking is my worst enemy and I am a huge culpret.

I agree with chopstickfox. When I meditate I hate moving, especially if I have an itch. I feel like moving will break my trance state. But when I go to sleep at night I roll around until I get comfy and I'm still able to fall asleep.

If I wake up in the morning and don't move, yes the vibrations will come quicker. Sometimes I get up and have to use the bathroom and then get back in bed. It can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour sometimes for the vibrations to come back.

Usually I'll just get back in bed and roll over a few times like I'm going back to sleep, but with the intent to have an obe. But I don't really focus on anything for the first 20 minutes. Once I start seeing some moving colors, shapes, or some hypnogigic imagery then I know it's time and I start focusing on the blackness. From there I can deepen the state and sometimes I'll hear vibrations and sometimes I won't, but SP will come on and I can quickly shift to the NPMR.

Definitely does seem belief is playing a major role in what I'm doing atm. I've been setting an extra alarm
recently to wake up for 10min remind myself of my goal and do some affirmations. I've realized my state of mind
upon waking is far more important than how much I've moved, obvious really.

Thanks for the replies guys, very helpful.
